The Spanish team of SailGP achieves a second and a fourth place in the two races today, and is placed fourth in the general despite yesterday's penalty
After a long night of work at the technical base, the ground teams of France and Spain managed to repair the helmets of their F50 damaged in yesterday's collision.
An incident that cost the Spanish team 9 points, which started the day in a fifth place. The Spanish crew has left the race field with the determination to recover positions.
With softer winds than yesterday's, and using the configuration of the large orzas, the SailGP fleet has again offered a unique show in Sydney Bay. The British team, led by Ben Ainslie, has dominated the first great prize of the season, winning four of the five races.
The "F50 Victoria," which has safely sailed and minimized risks, has gone from less to more achieving a fourth position in the first race of the day and a second position in the second.
After this first Grand Prix of the season, the SailGP World Championship will move to the United States coast, where the San Francisco and New York trials will be held, where the Spanish team hopes to continue growing.

28 / 02 / 2019: Spain begins with good foot in Sidney in the SailGP... the "F50 Victoria" 2nd and 5th ago
First day of competition at the Sydney Grand Prix, after which the Spanish team of SailGP passes from the second to the fifth position, after losing nine points after an unfortunate collision with the French team in the first race.
The wind conditions have been stronger than expected, with 22 knots of raches. This has presented a challenge for the crew of the "F50 Victoria." However, the team is satisfied with the overall performance, having obtained a fifth and two seconds respectively in the first three races of the championship. The British SailGP team, led by Ben Ainslie, has won the first 'hat trick' of the championship by winning the three day races.
The first departure was complicated for the Spanish team that, together with the collision with the French, complicated the race, although the crew of the "F50 Victoria" was able to recover positions by obtaining a fifth position. The damage caused by the crash did not prevent the Spanish team from continuing to sail, while the French squadron had to withdraw to repair its F50.
In the second race, the Spanish team won a second place behind the British team of SailGP and during the third race, held the leadership until the last manga, where the team capitalized by Ben Ainslie, advanced the Spaniards, making the victory.
The ground team will carry out the repairs of the "F50 Victoria" to be able to be on the exit line on Saturday... the weather forecast for is of softer winds than today, around the 10 knots.
