The Spanish Sail GP, will be baptized "F50 Victoria" in honor of the Nao Victoria, the ship on which Juan Sebastián Elcano sailed five centuries ago

The Spanish team of SailGP and TURESPANA announce a cooperation agreement through which the Spanish catamaran will be the emblematic logo of this state institution, which aims to spread the brand "Spain" internationally, from the perspective of our largest source of foreign exchange: tourism.

Nine are the elite regatists, full of youth, who are part of the Spanish team: the Catalan Xammar (26) Florian Trittel (25), the Vigués Luis Bugallo (24)... the three as wing trimers; the Santanderino eDiego Botín (26) and the canary Joel Rodríguez (22) as flight controllers, as well as the Joan Cardona (21) and the Coruñés and the Olympic crew partner of Botín, Iago López Marra (29) as grinders. The Majorcan Mateu Barber (27) also completes the group as grinder... the neozelandes Phil Robertson will exercise as interim skipper until the full incorporation of Xammar, at the end of the Tokyo Games.
