The MedSailing 2020 organized by the Nàutic El Balís Club, has been complete with the celebration of four days of races and has served to premiere the EuroCup circuit for the 2020 season. The British Freyka Black and Fin Amstrong have been the winners in 29th. In Europe the triumph has been for French Cyril Richard and in 420 the Germans Luca Jost and Finn Shäfer have been imposed.

The 29th class has been the largest in the MedSailing 2020 with 89 participants. The British Black and Amstrong have been the great dominators of the MedSailing in 29er from beginning to end winning eight of the thirteen sleeves disputed, with the beginning of the season winning in the Balís and becoming first leaders of the Eurocup. The second position has been for the Italians Stephan Baker and Marco Misseroni, ten points from the champions and third have been the French Tangui Le Goff and Youeen Bertin. The fourth square has been for the first Spanish ship formed by Quicorras Urios and Filippo Binetti (RCN Valencia), who have taken the third-party prize in youth category.

In the class 420 absolute domain of the two German crews, with the victory of Luca Jost and Finn Shäfer, who placed themselves leaders on the opening day and gave no choice to their compatriots Amelie and Katarina Shmid to finish second. The Pau Lfree and Alberto Marsans (CN El Balís) closed the podium in third position. The MedSailing has been a good opportunity for the 420 fleet that will have its Spanish Cup in these same waters at the end of October.

Tomorrow Thursday begins in the waters of the Maresme, with the organization of the Nàutic Club El Balís, the MedSailing 2020 with 133 ships from 19 countries.

The MedSailing will singnify as it is already traditional the start of the 29th EuroCup... 73 ships participated in 2019... and this year they increase to 93... which gives an idea of the high prestige of the Barcelona meeting... with 13 crews Spain, which is followed by the Netherlands with 9 and Switzerland and Germany with 7.

Quicorras Urios and Filippo Binetti of the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia will go out to defend the title obtained in the last edition. It is also among the list of favorites to the title the triple world champion in the class Optimist the Italian Marco Grandoni who will form team with Ettore Cyril, and that already in the tests of Garda also demonstrated its potential in the class 29.

In the solitary class Europe, which held in 2019 the World Championship in the waters of El Balís, will have 26 registered, of which 23 are Spanish where the powerful Catalan fleet with 8 local regatists and where will be the current world champion Paul Schilt of the Nàutic G arraf

The Spanish fleet of class 420 will have the opportunity to sail in the Club Nàutic El Balís with the views set in the Spanish Cup to be held in October in these same waters. 12 of the 14 registered are Spanish ships and has a lot of young values of which eight are from El Balís.

The MedSailing 2020 organized by the Nàutic El Balís Club will be held in Barcelona's waters, in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres between Thursday and with the end of Sunday... there will be four days of competition with a maximum of 16 sleeves, for the classes 29er, 420 and Europe.

The 29er class has it as fixed within its schedule of regats of the EuroCup circuit, where more than half a hundred skiff are expected to participate from all over the continent where Germans, Italians and Dutch have most of the fleet registered in this edition.

The 420 class also has a motive and an element that make it a special attraction, in this case for the Spanish crews as the Nàutic Club El Balís will host from October 29 to November 1 the Spanish Cup of the 420 class, making the great favorites in this speciality of good insurance that will not miss the appointment. The 420 is the previous step for another Olympic class, the 470, which for the next Olympics will be mixed class.

It completes the Europe class program, a ship that was Olympic to Sydney but has been a class capable of maintaining an important fleet all over the world and that is maintained and still up. It is a very technical single ship and that although its purpose is not to move its regatists to an Olympic class, its regatists always have the Laser as an alternative.

The MedSailing will be the first of the great races to be held in the club of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres this year 2020. If in 2018 the star race was the Finn Master World Championship and in 2019 the Europe Class World Championship; this year it will have one of the most important national races such as the 420 class Spanish Cup that will be held next fall and will have more than 100 participants.
