Impressive regatta of Jordi Xammar and Nicolás Rodríguez at the World Cup in Miami to rise with the gold, revalidating last year's title in 470 M... which catapult to the couple leaving the quarries of the Nautic Club Cambrils and the Real Nautical Club of Vigo, respectively, to success in Tokyo 2020.

Staying and nerves in Vizcaine Bay in front of a Medal Race in which everything was possible, with the Spaniards at 4 points of triumph in fourth position and a wind that did not go from 4 knots to the time scheduled for the race. Finally, the wind went up and started the show.. and it was to cross the line and make use of months of preparation and quality to get the head of the fleet, defending positions against the pressure and the good making of the Japanese teams that have fought to the end by dancing the podium positions, to have to finally surrender to the Spanish supremacy.

The Xammar and Rodríguez calendar passes through Palma de Mallorca where, in March, the 470 World Championship will be held.

After a delay waiting for the wind to start, the Laser fought their Medal Race with an average wind of 10 knots. Joaquín Blanco (R.C.N. Gran Canaria) finished in fifth position, closing the championship with an eighth place. The gold has been for Peruvian Stefano Peschiera.

Under wind conditions that have reached over 20 knots, the World Cup of Miami reaches its equator with partial victory for Xammar and Rodríguez after a spectacular race.

The very tight classification of the 470 shows the level of the fleet. Six races, five winners, including the Spanish Jordi Xammar (CN Cambrils) and Nicolás Rodríguez (RCN Vigo), who after starting the day with a 16th have finished it with a sailing show crowned with victory.

The Movistar team started fighting over the headposts and after hunting the Americans Mcnay / Hughes, they started a real match- race that lasted to the same line of arrival.

21 / 01 / 2020:World Cup Miami: White leader in Finn and Xammar- Rodríguez octavos in 470 after the first day

the first day of races in the Bay of Vizcaine has been marked by medium winds that have not exceeded the 10 knots, with numerous roles that have conditioned the evolution of the tests

Joaquín Blanco del Real Club Náutico Gran Canaria embroidered his performance in the inaugural day of the World Cup Series in Miami, with two round wins in two races that he led from beginning to end in the Laser class, in which 40 patterns are in competition
