After the period of initiation, the students go to the school's race teams, from which they have left and continue to leave, autonomous and national champions, in the upper classes of 420, Snipe, Laser or J80

This year, 1500 young people came from Galicia, Madrid and Andalusia, through the various courses of initiation or improvement in light sailing.

Although the School of Sailing of the Nautical, open to any young man, operates all year round, the largest number of regatists are concentrated in summer holiday, from the age of 6, and has the technical capacity to care for 100 people per day, with the technicians and monitors available as well as the wide fleet of ships and pneumatic, up to a total of 60 units.

A specific activity of the School of Sailing are the so-called Sea Walls, included in the Blue Flag program that owns the Nautico, addressed to the younger regatists, of the Optimist in classes of selective collection of garbage; awareness of the discharges at sea and in the construction of a ship with recycled materials.
