The sixth edition of the Comunitat Valenciana Olympic Week is now looking at 2020. The Olympic and youth class meeting in the Community continues to grow, with short but firm steps with the sole aim of placing the race among the most important of the international calendar, while not forgetting that it is the best window and starting point for the young regatists of the Federation of Sailing of the Valencia Community, thus encouraging the sport of base with a great opportunity to compete with the best of each class.
One more year the event, which will be held between 5 and 16 February, has four headquarters: Real Club Náutico de Valencia, Club Náutico de Jávea, Real Club de Regatas de Alicante and Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja, where more than 500 regatists are expected to be able to meet along the Valencian coast.
In the capital of the Turia, there will be the classes Finn, Interseries, Hobbie 16, Formula 18, Class A, 29er and 49er, in addition, the nautical of Valencia will host the first Spanish championship of the new Olympic class: Offshore Joint, being a great escape at national and international level with a view to the developments of the crews and the possible model of boat chosen for the JJOO Paris 2024.
The Náutico de Jávea, for its part, again has the Adjusted Sailing with the main and only protagonist, with its best guarantee that is the local Rafa Andarias in class 2.4mR. This class, along with the Hansa 303 fleet, will have the special incentive to have the European Parasailing 2020, so the High Marine Club will have a high participation, including the main and best regatists of both classes.
In the south of the Valencia Community, the Alicante Regatta Club will host 7 classes: 470, 420, RS: X, BIC Techno 293, Raceboard, Formula Windsurfing and Formula Kite. The capital of the Costa Blanca will have a double prize for its participants, as for the classes RS: X and RS: X SUB21 will be valid for the Spanish championship, while another of the incentives will be the Kite, Formula Windsurf and Raceboard, being an accurate test for the National Circuit.
Torrevieja, a headquarters that was the starting point for this great Olympic Sailing project in the Community, will host the Laser 4.7, Laser Radial and Laser Standard fleet. As a special attraction and with the best of the specialty in the Torreviejense club, including Guillermo Beltri, the fleet of Radio Control IOM will have its space and protagonism, as well as the class that was Olympic in its day and that gave so many successes to Spain: Flying Dutchman. The nautical of Torrevieja will welcome the Spanish cups for the Radial and Standard.
It should be noted from a local approach that the Laser 4.7, Laser Radial, Laser Standard, 420, RS: X, Raceboard, Formula Windsurf, Techno 293 and 29er classes will be punctuable for the Autonomical Cup.
