The market for recreational craft continues to grow and is about to close the exercise (energy-November), reaching an increase of 9.7% in enrolment. In Spain, 5,929 recreational boats have been registered in the 11 months of 2019 compared to 5,403 in the same period last year. The national market

In length, the 8-12 m segment is growing at 40.8% (476 enrolments). The segment also grows to 6 meters (10.4%), which enrol 4,153 vessels compared to the 3,762 registered in the same period last year, and is maintained with the highest market share (70%). The ships between 12 and 16 meters also grow (1.7%).

On the contrary, the length between 6 and 8 meters experience a minimum drop (-0.1%) in the period under review, and the registration of ships over 16 meters are those that experience the highest drop in enrolment (-7.7%). Motor ships grow by 10% (2,556 registrations) and remain the most demanded vessels (43.1% market share). Folding tyres also grow, 14.6% with 635 enrolments.

Sailor registration continues to stand out and grow steadily, with a 33.9% increase in the year with 387 records.

Andalusia, Balearic Islands and Catalonia remain the autonomous communities with the most share of the nautical market. The Balearic Islands, in second position, account for 18.8% of the market in the period under review, and grow by 1.5% in enrolment.
