Aurelio Fernádez Lage's widow gave Mencías Casas the trophy of absolute winner

Mencía Casas, from the Nautico de Sanxenxo, was the absolute winner of the sixth edition of the Trophy Aurelio Fernández Lage de Optimist, which annually organizes the Nautico Coruñés, which on this occasion concentrated some 120 young regatists from all over Galicia.

In the second day, three other races were held, in which Mencía Casas was able to maintain the leadership of the previous day. On this occasion he achieved a first, a second and a third, to obtain a total of 10 points and also to award the first place in the yellow group as sub-16.

The female champion in the blue group was Paloma Martínez de la Riva of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña, which is still sub-11, while the male winner was Jacobo Miranda, of the Monte Real Club of Yates de Baiona

In the sub-13 category the winner was Natalia Domínguez (Náutico de Sanxenxo); second, Pepa Bermudez de Castro (Náutico Coruña); and third Inés Ameneiro (Náutico de Vigo).

In the male category sub-13, the winner was Alejandro Campos (Nautico de Rodeira); second, Miguel Rodríguez (Marítimo de Canido); and third, Pedro Martínez (Nautico de Rodeira).

In Sub 16, in addition to the aforementioned Mencía Casas, the absolute winner of the Memorial, the second square was for Liang Jane (Marítimo de Canido; and third, Alba Díaz, of the Coruñés Nautico.

In the male category the triumph was for Andrés Barreiro (Marítimo de Canido); second, Fernando Campos, from the same Club; while the third position was awarded by Pablo Rodríguez (Náuticop de Rodeira).

The attendees to the Nautical School of Sailing also had their own competition. If they made 4 sleeves on Saturday, in the second day they completed two more, with the final triumph of Lucía Díaz, which ended with 9 points (with a series of 1-1-10-4-2-1). The second square was for Pablo Gago, with 11 points (partial of 5-2-1-1-9-2); and the third position was for Bruno Robledo, with 21 points. In addition to Lucía Díaz's victory in one of the sleeves of Sunday, the victory in the other race was for Ana Mallo, who finally ended up in the fifth square.

Tomorrow the sixth edition of the Trophy Aurelio Fernández Lage de Optimist, which organizes the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña, with a federal quality of being a Galician qualification test of this class, in which more than 120 optimists of ten Galician clubs participate: Marítimo de Oza, Grupo Bazán, Marítimo de Canido, Nautico de Ribeira, Monte Real de Baiona, Real Club de Mar de Aguete, Nautico de Sanxenxo, Nautico de Vigo, Nautico de Rodeira and Nautico de La Coruña.

In the blue group has the first temporary square Jacobo Miranda (sub 16), of Mount Real Club of Yates of Baiona, with 3 points, after winning the three sleeves disputed. The second square is for Paloma Martínez de la Riva, of the Coruñés Nautico (sub-11), with 14 points (4-5-5 partial). Bruno Iglesias (sub 11) is the third, of the Nautico de Ribeira, with 16 (2-2-12). Fourth, Otto García (sub 11 and the organizing club of the race, with 19 (8-3-8) and fifth, April Alegría (sub 16), of the Coruñés Nautico, with 25 points (6-9-10).

For the yellow group Mencía Casas (sub 16), from the Sanxenxo Nautico, head the list with 9 points (1-3-5). He is followed by Andrés Barreiro, from the Maritime of Canido, with 11 (3-1-7). The third place is for Liang Jane García, from the same Club, with 12 points (2-6-4). Paul Astiazaran is the fourth, of the Nautic of Vigo, with 17 (5-10-2), while Paul Osuna of Canido, with 20 points (6-11-3) occupies the fifth position.

On the other hand, four races were held, within the Trophy for the young people of the School of Sailing of the Náutico. Pablo Gago has four points; second is Lucía Diaz 6 points, third is Bruno Robledo, with 11; one more than Nicolás Martínez, with 12, while Cayetano Montero is fifth with 13 points.
