Fourteen years after his arrival in Spain on the occasion of the America's Cup, the King Marine Shipyard returns to La Marina de València to settle in the former Team New Zealand base, which will become the cornerstone of the company's expansion project. The company has been granted the space for the next ten years, and will put it into operation as soon as possible, as in February 2020 it is planned to launch a new Bothin 85 of a pointer sports project in this emblematic base of the America's Cup.
"For us La Marina de València is a very special place and the natural space where we can be located to give way to the sea to our shipyard. We believe that the commitment of the Valencia 2007 Consortium to encourage the attraction of nautical companies to the Navy will benefit us much from the synergies that can be generated", says Gabriel Mariani, General Director of King Marine.
The new King Marine base will provide high quality services for shipowners and ship captains, including water mooring, ground and under-roof stranded service, ship maintenance, composite work, filtered air paint cabin, sailing, sale of composite materials and travelift services, as it is planned to install an eight-metre-manga and 50-ton boat lift. King Marine is today a world reference in the construction of carbon-fibre competition ships, responsible for the construction of some of the most important sailboats of the different world sailing competitions, such as the America Cup, The Ocean Race or the 52 Super Series.
