The Royal Nautical Club of Valencia has celebrated this weekend the Light Sailing High Trophy, the last light sailing race of 2019, which has brought together 109 boats and almost 200 regatists of the classes Snipe, Optimist, Class A, Laser and 29er.
The Snipe class has been the largest, as the test was noticeable for the Snipe Winter Series... the Valencian couple formed by Agustín Zabalúa and Louis Moyan, almost unbeatable with four first positions and a second that have ruled out, have crowned champions, with the mallorcan duo formed by Victor Pérez and Juan Carlos Serrano seconds and the Madrileños Fabio Bruggioni and Eduardo Molina completing the podium.
The Valencian couple formed by Quicorras Urios and Filippo Binetti is simply unstoppable in 29er, and to their long list of successes this season have joined the victory in this Light Sailing High Trophy, with the second and third place also for the Valencian club, with Sergi Soler and Stijn Gast and Sara and Isabel Momplet, respectivamte, and the last female champions being proclaimed.
The Valencian Carlos Sánchez has been brilliant in the five dubbed laser tests, in which he has made five first and one second that has been ruled out as the general winner, with the second place for Isidro Codoñer and third for Nikola Georgiev.
For its part, Pablo Sánchez del RCN Valencia has also been made with the victory in Laser 4.7, with four first and one third that has been discarded, and with the madrileño Alfonso Moreno in a tight second position and Pablo Bellver third.
Class A regatists have held a total of 3 trials during the weekend, which have given the victory to Rafeta Gómez, followed by Toni Ballester and with Abdon Ibáñez third.
36 optimist competing in classes A, B and C, a good sample of the growth of this class formed by the club's new generation of regatists. While the Optimist A have completed the full 5-sleeves program, the B and C have played a total of 4.
The champion in Optimist A has been a regular Mateo Codoñer, followed by Pablo Moreno and with Caros Espí third, all of them from RCN Valencia, and with his fellow club Irene de Tomás female winner. In Optimist B the victory has been for Juan Alapont, with Gabriel Sánchez second and Ángel Escudero third, both tied to points, and with Marta Ferrando female champion.
Finally at Optimist C Lucas Marín has been brilliant with three third and a sixth that has been discarded, making with the first podium square, followed by Luis Montatichez and Luca Rampi.
