Fifth edition of the Gala del Remo Galego Concello de Marín, by the hand of the Abanca Week, which counted another year with the organization of the Galician Federation of Remo and the Club Marítimo de Vigo. In a crowded auditorium Illa de Tambo was held on Saturday night, at the socaire of the successful Galicia de Bateles Cup, the Gala that had athletes, technicians and representatives of clubs throughout Galicia.

The event was opened by the general secretary of the week Abanca Manuel Pedro Seoane, who gave the floor to Manuel Seijas president of the Galician Federation, being José Ramón Lete Lasa, the general secretary of the Galician sport who on behalf of the Xunta de Galicia closed the turn of interventions.

From this moment on, the Olympic Franco Cobas was the driver of the event, with the presence of Maria Ramallo, mayor of Marín, at the close of the Gala.

The Club de Remo Vigo, a newly created club after the disappearance of the historic rowing section of the Nautico de Vigo, collected the first award of the night as Best Club Alevión Feminino by Zulema Prado president of the Marítimo de Vigo, to which two others would be added: as the best absolute male and female club. After them, the representatives of the Pontevedra Dependation gave the awards first to the Remo Tui Club and then to the Remo do Miño Club.

From here on, 15 awards were made for the most distinguished clubs in the categories of children, cadet, youth and absolute... and also for the best batels, yolas, traineriñas and trainieras... all at both the male and the female levels. The award-winning clubs Perillo, Ribadeo, Olympic Mandeo de Bergondo, Miño, Riveira, La Puebla, Samertolameu, Mecos do Grove, Ares, San Felipe-Ferrol and Remo Vigo.

In the adapted rowing chapter the award was for A Robaleira de La Guardia, being elected the best referee Senén Martins, the best technician Rafael Ernesto Gómez... reciting the mention to the promise of the Galician rowing in the Noique Caetano Horta, to special mention for his work to the Coruñés José Manuel Sabonido and as a colophone the award for the international trajectory, for the Moañés Rodrigo Conde del Club de Remo do Miño, for his classification for Tokyo 2020. The family photo, as is traditional, put the end and end to the Gala.

After this event the Abanca Week will hold on 21 and 22 of this month, Ibernática; it is a náutico-sports court congress that is dedicated this year to the "Sustainable Maritime Navigation" that will take place in the facilities of the Real Club de Mar de Aguete, by the hand of the Campus del Mar (Galician universities and northern Portugal).
