According to ADIN the national market for vessels increases 10 points from January to October

In the period enero-October 2019 the registration of new vessels throughout the State has increased by 10.2%, from 5137 to 5663 registered vessels, while in Catalonia it has increased by 17.8%, from 910 to 1,072 registered vessels, according to the report prepared by ADIN with data from the General Directorate of the Merchant Navy.

The private and rental market has increased from 3736 to 4167 registered vessels, and the rental market has increased by 6.8 per cent, from 1401 to 1496 registered vessels, while in Catalonia the private market has increased from 13.9 per cent, from 654 to 745 vessels and the rental of 27.7 per cent, from 256 to 327 registered vessels.

The rental market (list 6) accounts for 26.41% of all registered vessels throughout the State, while in Catalonia it already accounts for 30.5%, more than 1 in 4 and about 1 in 3, respectively.

The Captainía de Palma is the one that has enrolled the most ships with 649 boats, followed by Barcelona and Bilbao with 491, Alicante with 489, Palamós with 396, Cartagena with 329, A Coruña with 268, Málaga with 209, Castellón with 207, Cádiz with 194 and Tarragona with 185 and Almería with 182, complete the first positions in the Spanish ranking.

By type of vessels, at the state level, the largest increase is for sailing vessels with 43.7%, followed by pneumatic vessels with 19.7%, water motorcycles with 15.3%, rigid vessels with 9.2% and a decline of -8.9% of semi-rigid vessels.

While in Catalonia, the highest growth is for pneumatic vessels with 59%, followed by sailing vessels with 55.3%, rigid vessels with 17.6%, and water motorcycles with 9, 2% while semi-rigid vessels grow by 4.6%.

The cumulative data from January to October reflect a slight decline in the state as a whole of -1.5%, from 15,172 to 14,948 units sold, while in Catalonia the decline is of -3.7%, from 3,306 to 3,183 vessels sold in the period.
