The Spanish sport, in the discipline of sailing, faces a great date facing the JJ.00s. from Tokyo 2020. The 2019 World Championship, to be held in the Gulf of Hauraki - Auckland - is the opportunity for Spain to get its Olympic passport in the 49er, 49er FX and Nacra 17 classes.
In addition to the world title, in the year before the Olympic Juice, five places will be put in play to attend Tokyo 2020 in the Nacra17 class, four for the 49er and six for the 49er FX.
As the share of sailing athletes has been reduced in respect of the last JJOO and also as a result of the greater equality of proportionality between men and women, the number of places has been reduced in the male and female forms, with only one place per country being granted in each class.
