The 2020 edition of the Superyacht Cup Palma will add even more excitement to the competition with the premiere of a new high performance class, the Performance Class, which will give shipowners the opportunity to test their pure blood boats in a classic race format

The organizers of the Superyacht Cup Palma, in their desire to improve and bring more and more value to the participants of Europe's longest superyacht race, have presented a new class that will accommodate state-of-the-art, utrarrapid and technology-gifted superyachts.

The 24th edition of this Mallorcan event to be held from June 17 to 20 will feature the new Performance Class that is added this year to the popular Original Superyacht Class and the Corinthian Spirit Class, introduced in 2018.

The Performance Class will have a conventional fleet output and will compete under the RRS rule in a separate race field from the other two classes. This novelty in the Mallorcan test has already been in the superyacht community, with Freya, the 27m Swan 90S designed by Frers, expressing a strong interest in registering.

The impressive Hetairos carbon superqueche, a 66.9m long Dykstra / Reichel Pugh creation with Baltic Yachts design, has also shown interest in the Superyacht Cup Palma 2020, in which it would be its first appearance in Europe's longest superyacht race.
