1500 sailors meet at Las Palmas for the Atlantic Rally Cruisers
The Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, considered the world's most participatory transoceanic water leisure event, has 200 ships for its main test, on November 25; 73 boats on the ARC Plus, which will start on Sunday, and 18 crews will premiere the new ARC San Vicente, whose departure will be next Thursday, 15.
The organization confirms the growth trend since it began to take the capital of the country as a base in 1986. As usual, many of these crews move to the capital city of Las Palmas weeks in advance, so that they can prepare the journey properly, while enjoying the leisure offer of the city of Las Palmas.
The director of the Andrew Bishop test, explained that the ARC Plus, which will leave on Sunday in two bands, the first at 12.45 p.m. and the second, at 1 p.m., has 73 ships. The second departure will be Thursday, heading for the island of San Vicente, a first-time test that is born with 18 ships that will make a technical scale in Cape Verde before following its transatlantic journey... the ARC the great nautical test will wait in the Marina of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with about 200 ships until Sunday 25 November.
