The victory of Mesquida of the SArenal was confirmed at the Meeting City of Vigo in Optimist

The Majorcan, best Spanish in the European past of France (sixth), not only resisted the attacks of the rest of the candidates in the Vigo era, but signed two more wins in the Oro group for the title
Marc Mesquida of Club Nàutic s'Arenal of Mallorca, declared himself the absolute champion of the Meeting International City of Vigo of Optimist, is placed provisional leader of the Excellence Cup 2019-20, the international four-test circuit that is held in Spain.
The title of Mesquida was the colofon to a meeting for history sponsored by the Grupo Nueva Pescanova and Aguas de Sousas, because the Mallorcan club put four ships between the first ten and to Alejandra Lencina third with 31 points (2-3-4-6-13-3- [16]). In the middle of the day, the Portuguese champion Augusto Castelo Branco (Sport Algés de Dafunfo) was in charge. The lisboeta maintained the second square thanks to a series 6-1-1-2-8-9- [11].
In addition, he arrived as the subchampion of the Troféu Cidade de Viana and his excellent performance had another prize: the champion of the Week of the Atlantic 2019, the sum of the results of Viana and Vigo, ahead of his compatriot Francisco Uva (Naval Clube de Cascais), sixth in the Viguesa citation.
Daniel García (CN El Masnou) would be the winner in Division B (born 2003 and 2004) as the first sub-13 of the general, in which he finished eighteenth. The Galician fleet had its best values of General A-B in Pablo Rodríguez (RCN Rodeira), decimosegundo (54 net points), Andrés Barreiro (Marítimo de Canido, 13, 58), and Pablo Astiazarán (RCN Vigo, 16, 70).

02 / 11 / 2019: Marc Mesquida de s'Arenal leader of the Meeting of Optimist in Vigo before the final day

The wind conditions in the Ria de Vigo have improved in the second day, although that is with rain, allowing to close three more tests that were left pending for the blue and red fleet, thus completing four tests to give way to the final series.
The second day of the Atlantic City of Vigo Week has been much more benevolent with the regatists, at least because of the wind conditions as it has remained between the 8-15 knots on an axis that oscillates between the 220th and the 240º, although the rain has not given truce, making an act of presence on more than one occasion.
The Marc Mesquida (CN S'Arenal) ballast, in the blue group, has been almost perfect, as today it has added three partial wins in the first three tests, but... In the fourth and last one off-line marked a BFD in his locker. It is for this reason that the shooting has been able to remove that partial by first remaining on the table with 3 points.
In this provisional general classification, the Portuguese Augusto Castelo Branco (SAD) and Francisco Uva (CN Casacais) have been very regular. The first competing the red group and the second with the blue with Mesquida. Castelo-Branco remains only 1 point from the shooting, thanks to the 6-1-1-2 partials. Gva, for its part, has signed 3-6-3-1, keeping a nice match with Mesquida especially in the first test of the day.
Aina Garau (CN S'Arenal), very close to the podium square as it closes its participation with 8 points, occupying the 4th square, is located leader in females. The shooting has sailed in the yellow fleet and if yesterday it achieved a work 3rd square today it has gone from more to less, torn with a brilliant 2nd place, then 3rd and ended 5th in the last of the day.
The provisional top ten is closed with the Portuguese Teresa Quartin (CV Tejo), starting the day with a BFD, but then improving with partials of 1-4, adding a total of 9 points, the same as the third female of the table (6th of the absolute general), the balar Alejandra Lencina (CN S'Arenal). The local Pablo Astiazarán (RCN Vigo) is 7th with 10 points, followed by Pablo Rodríguez (CN Rodeira), Andrés Barreiro (CM Canido), both with 13 points, and in the 10th square Mencía Casas (RCN Sanxenxo) that amounts to 14 points.
Tomorrow Sunday third and last day in which the final series will be held... the meteorology will remain in the same line as in these two days.
01 / 10 / 2019: The wind shone the first day of the meeting of Optimist in the river of Vigo
Problems in Vigo with the excessive wind to begin the International Meeting of Optimist of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo, which has the support of the New Pescanova and the Sousas Waters, as well as at the level of institutions with the Concello de Vigo, Diputacion de Pontevedra and the Xunta de Galicia.
Only the Amarillo group was able to sail... and to that end completing a lonely manga, in which was imposed the Catalan Izan Codinachs (CN Sant Feliu de Guixols), followed by the Lusa Benedita Rebelo and Aina Garau (CN s'Arenal), with the sub-13 Sean Kavanghant (South African) and Pedro Martínez (RCN Rodeira) in the fifth and ninth positions of a fleet of 49 units over 67 initially registered.
The rest of the groups (blue, with 59 ships, and red, with 70, in addition to group C, of 44 registered units) returned to land without being able to regatta. In fact, around five o'clock in the afternoon the entrance of stronger winds led the fleet to return to the marina immediately. Maritime Captain only allows to compete with a maximum of 20 knots.
