The Royal Nautical Club of Valencia has organized an ambitious training and competition plan for the Snipe class, under the name Snipe Winter Series. The circuit, which combines training, clinics and punctuable races, has brought together 26 teams from all over Europe who have established their base in the Valencian club. The aim of this initiative is to make the Valencian club an important Snipe centre in South Europe for all the navigators of the continent.

The first of the qualifying races, which was held in mid-October, was attended by athletes from Portugal, Italy, Madrid, Santander, Murcia and Valencianas, including high-level regatists such as José Luis Maldonado, Joaquín Armengot, Agustín Zabaluúa, Juanlu Granados, Tiago Roquette, Alberto Prado, Mariano Arroyo, Romeo Piperno, Miguel Cebolla, Antonio López and Carmen Herrero, as well as the Valencians Rafa de Tomás, Elena Pereda, Alejandro de Castro and Esteban Martínez.

For the Winter Series, which began last September and will continue until May, the regatists have the option to rent boats if they do not have it and to join the races that have been scheduled on November 16 and 17, December 6-8, January 11 and 12, February 14-16, February 28 and March 29, April 25 and April 26, and from May 1 to May 4, when the Spanish Women's Championship of the class and the end of these Winter Series will also be held. In addition to these races, the Snipe Winter Series offers fleet training every Saturday with tours and a trainer to correct errors as well as three clinics.
