The Spanish selection of pyragüismo has today concluded the 2019 Marathon World Championship taking second place by country and harvesting 10 medals, 2 in the junior category, 1 in sub23, and 7 in the senior after adding in the golden closing day Tono Campos- Diego Romero in C2, silver Tania Fernández- Tania Alvarez and bronze Irati Osa- Arantza Toledo, both medals in K2.

At the close of the competition in the Chinese city of Shaoxing, the Gallegos Tono Campos and Diego Romero have sealed a World Cup. To the gold medals in C1 of Romero in the short marathon and of Campos in marathon, next to the silver in the short, have today added the gold in C2 with a time of 1 hour, 59 minutes and 6 seconds. The other Spanish couple, Oscar Graña and Pedro Areal have finished fifth.

The other two medals have arrived with the female K2 double in which the Galician Tania Fernández and Tania Alvarez have proclaimed themselves subchampions of the world (1h.56m.3als) sharing podium with the Basque Irati Osa and the Spanish-manchega Arantza Toledo, which have been third in a tight final.

In the male K2 with the Spaniards at the doors of the podium the Galician Iván Alonso and Jaime Sobrado have finished rooms, while the other ship of the national team manned by the Asturian Miguel Fernández Castañón and the Spanish-Leonese José Julián Becerro has been fifth. This was the Spanish medallion:

- Supreme: gold: Diego Romero in C1 short marathon, Tono Campos in C1 and Tono Campos in C2; silver: Tono Campos in C1 short marathon, and Tania Fernández- Tania Alvarez in K2; bronze: Eva Barrios in K1 short marathon and Irati Osa- Arantza Toledo in K2.

- Júnior: bronze: Celia Toledo in K1 and Pablo Crespo-Diego Piñeiro in C2.

Another Galician Manuel Garrido, with two world medals and two European medals, has finished fourth.

In the female C1 test Jenifer Casal has finished fifth and Raquel Rodríguez 10th.

In male K1 the Galician Ivan Alonso has finished at number 9 and the astururian Miguel Llorens in the 13.

In K1 women the Zamoran Eva Barrios, who in this competition added the short marathon its third world medal in long distances, to which it adds 3 in esprint, has been today sixth and Catalan Aurora Figueras tenth.

In the absence of a day for completion, the Spanish selection accumulates 7 medals. In sénior: gold: Diego Romero in C1 short marathon and Tono Campos in 1 marathon; silver: Tono Campos in C1 short marathon, and bronze: Eva Barrios in K1 short marathon. The Spanish selection of pyragüismo already accumulates six medals - three in the senior category, one in sub23 and two in junior- in the Marathon World Championship, which is disputed in the Chinese city of Shaoxing.

During today's day in sub23 Irati Osa has achieved bronze in marathon in K1, while Aurkene Aroca has finished in tenth position.

In addition, the Spanish delegation has added another third place in C2 thanks to Pablo Crespo and Diego Piñeiro (1h.25m.54s). In this same test Javier Ordoñez and Iago Romero have been sepmos (1h, 3245s).

Yesterday, in the short marathon distance the test has been resolved in the final esprint in senior C1 in which Diego Romero has obtained the gold and his partner on the national team Tono Campos the silver.

In the female K1 the Zamoran Eva Barrios has obtained the bronze medal. In this same test the Galician Tania Alvarez has remained in the ninth square.

The harvest of medals for Spain is signed by the manchega Celia Toledo with the third place of K1 júnior, with a time of 1 hour and 31 minutes. In this same test Aiora Iragu has been the 20th.

In addition, in sénior K1 Antonio Palmas has ended at the 16th and Emilio Merchán in the 18th and in C1 Estela Ruiz in place number 12 and Raquel Rodríguez in the 13th.

In júnior K1 Rubén Rodríguez has been seventh and Abel García, ninth and in C1 León Villalba, fourth and Pablo Crespo, seventh.
