The Abanca Week has its last act on Sunday by the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña... after the Lexus Breogán Cup of 420, the Gaddis Trophy of Solitary-A2 and the Spanish Cup J80 The English Court, it is the turn to a new race in the Galician calendar of sailing: the Regata MOR60 in which the ships compete in the system A3, three crew per ship.

It will be on the edge of 11: 30 Sunday morning, with a tour of about 10 miles in the river of La Coruña between beacons, with likely turns in Mera and Oza. And it is that the judges will decide immediately before the exit signal, what route they will choose.

In line of departure many of the most powerful ships in the northern Galician area, case of the "Alma do Mar" that patronea Nito Enriquez, "La María" with Miguel Angel Fernández a la rea, "Zospiro" by Guillermo Blanco, "Mascato" with Enrique Vilariño a la rea, "O Riás" by Ramón Carnota, Gonzalo Vázquez with his "Mourisca," the "Ganafote" by José Manuel Quintero or the "Virazo" by Pedro Torres, to cite a few examples.

The conclusion on Saturday in La Coruña one of the stages of the Grand Prix, in which more than twenty ships are participating from the fleets of Ferrol, Ares, Sada and La Coruña itself, has generated a great atmosphere in this Regata MOR60 that closes the presence of the Abanca Week, as regards 2019 in the Herculine capital. At the provincial level there is still a new event, next weekend in Sada with the Terras Gaudas Regata, which traditionally has a large participation of all Galicia.

The three-crew races are fashionable among the Levine regatists, as there are numerous events of this kind throughout the last three seasons. Recently the Catalan fleet has joined this current, and now it is Galicia who is going to try with the Abanca Week, this competition system. The small-crew races began to be held in Galicia, at the Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona in 1981 with the Stylmark Trophy of solitaries and A2. The winners had been the "Sumcris" of the Saraquete river in solitaires and the "Undine" of the German Keilhoz and the Pontevedrés Luis Pérez in A2. Now after almost thirty years, the A3 races of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña and of the Abanca Week reach the Galician waters.
