It has taken place in the Espai de Mar of the International Nautical Salon of Barcelona the presentation of the Circuit of High Regats 2020 and the award of this year's edition.
The event has had the presence of the president of the Federació Catalana de Vela, Xavier Torres, and representatives of the localities, clubs and ports where the races that make up the Circuito de Regatas Altura have their exits and arrivals.
It was the tourist region of the City of Pollença, María Buades, accompanied by the delegate of Vela of the Royal Nautical Club of Pollença, Pere Antoni Nadal, port of arrival of the regata Bahia de Pollença, as well as Rodrígo de Febrer, manager of Port Ginesta, exit of the regata Bahia de Pollença.
He also participated in the event, Alfred Llobet, of the CN el Balis, exit from the Ruta de la Tramuntana race, the ocean navigator Gerard Marín, comandoro of the Club Nàutic L'Escalo, as well as Xavi López, sports director of the Club, arrival of the Ruta de la Tramuntana race.
The presentation noted details of the next edition of the High Regatta Circuit, composed of the Bahia Pollença regatas, the Sitges-Ciutadella regata and La Ruta de la Tramuntana, where the high participation is expected to be repeated, with an average of 30 boats in each of the three regatas, the coveted cash prizes are maintained, the ORC measurement system is continued with a single one.
The dates of the tests for the 2020 edition, which will be for the Bay of Pollença race from 29 to 30 May, Sitges-Ciutadella on 12 to 13 June and La Ruta de la Tramuntana on 3 and 4 July, were also announced.
The Trophy of the Circuit was also delivered, where the Grand Soleil crew, Lazy Dog, from Jesper Larsen (CN Mansou) received the Trophy as the first ranked from the President of the Catalan Federation of Vela Xavier Torres. Also Enrique Curt, director of the race and Juan Fargas, director of Ausmar, delivered the prize in cash consisting of €2,000 and the security material, Trofeo Ausmar. The second one has been the Korrigan, the X46 by Joan Balaguer (CV Blanes) who received the trophy by the Tourism Regime of the City of Pollença Maria Buades, as well as a cash prize of 1000 €The third one has been the Sun Fast 35, the Diabolic of Glenn de Brouwer of the Royal Belgium Sailing Club, which received the trophy from the sports director of the CN l'Cscale, Xavi López and the 500 €cash prize. The fourth classified was the Hanse 470e Nirvana III of José Martín Santiago, of the CN Vilanova that received the trophy of the manager of Port Ginesta, Rodrigo de Febrer and the prize in cash of 250 €.
