The Surfing Federation appoints the Spanish selection for the Junior World Cup

Decided Selection to participate in the 2019 VISSLA ISA World Junior Surfing Championship of California
The California City of Huntington Beach will again be the stage where the world's best young surfers will fight for the world title. The cradle of surfing will become the mirror in which the future legends of this sport are reflected during the next 26 October to 3 November.
The last edition broke record of participation with 44 nations represented by 361 surfers. The Spanish team played the best role in its history in a young world and reached a historic sixth position in the team competition and managed to classify Lucía Machado in the world top 4 of its category.
After the great performance of 2018, the young people face the great quote of the young surfing by selections as a great opportunity to measure themselves to the best surfers of their categories worldwide.
The ISA World Junior Surfing Championship 2019 makes a firm commitment to equality and for the second consecutive year the selections will be represented by the same number of girls and boys. In this way, the teams will be made up of up to 3 boys and 3 girls in the categories sub 16 and sub 18.
The national youth selection chosen by national technicians Pablo Solar and Ibon Amatriain for the ISA World Junior Surfing Championship 2019 is as follows:

Sub 16; Néstor García, Ricardo de la Hera, Mario Rasines, Kai Odriozola, Hans Odriozola, Laura de los Reyes, Alicia Takahashi, Bianca Tye and Martina Álvarez.
