During the last weekend, the 15th Trophy of Hispanity was held in Gijon waters. Of the four scheduled sleeves, two per day, only Saturday sleeves could be held. On Sunday, the strong wind blowing at the start of the first manga prevented the holding of the tests.

Among the Optimist, Gonzalo Jaudenos was the first to cross the line of arrival on both occasions, and was therefore the just winner of the Trophy. The second position would be for Alvaro Alonso with a third and a second place in his locker. Covadonga Fernández with the same points that Alvaro ended in third position.

Bruno González was the best among the Laser Radial to win the two sleeves. Lam second place was obtained by Juan Ruiz, with a third and a fourth place. Jacobo Fernández will end up in third position, scoring a second in the second test.

In the Snipe class, José Palacio and Alberto Suárez were again the best to win the two races and add one more victory to their extensive palmarés. Carlos Ordoñez on this occasion with José Carlos Alegría as proel, finished second in the two sleeves. Closing the podium posts, José Luis de la Rubia and Luis Ford with a quarter and a third.

Organized by the Real Club Astur de Regatas de Gijón, this weekend will take place in the Bay of San Lorenzo, the fortnight edition of the Trophy of the Hispanity of Light Sailing, which convokes the classes of: Optimist, Laser Radial, Laser 4.7, Feva and Snipe.

The first sign of attention will be given at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday 12 October, and four sleeves are scheduled, to be held during the weekend, two per day. For the Trophy to be valid, at least one sleeve must be completed. The routes will depend on the direction and intensity of the wind, with a test duration of approximately 45 minutes.

The award of the Hispanic Trophy will take place at the Sailing Dinner that will be held at the facilities of the Real Club Astur de Regatas de Gijón, and where a large part of the trophies organized by the Club will also be delivered throughout the season.
