Nauthor's Swan again relies on the Real Nautical Club of Palma to host The Nations Trophy, the biennial race that brings together the best monotypes of the Finnish shipyard in an attractive format that combines confrontation between national squads with the dispute of several absolute championships... between October 8 and 12, 41 ships of 14 nationalities will compete in Palma Bay for the second edition of the most important event of the Nauthor's Swan One Design circuit.

The Nations Trophy 2019 is the culmination of the Mediterranean season for Nauthor's Swan monotypes. In its second edition since its 2017 premiere at this same headquarters, the event calls on the world's best ClubSwan 50 class teams, Swan 45, ClubSwan 42 and the new ClubSwan 36, which comes to Palma to make its expected premiere in competition. In addition to the absolute title, The Nations Trophy scores as the World Championship of ClubSwan 50 and Swan 45, and as the European Championship of ClubSwan 42.

There will be no lack of legends of ocean navigation such as the Coruñés Roberto 'Chuny' Bermudez in Natalia (ROU), the Dutch Bouwe Bekking in Niramo (GER), the American Ken Read in Cuordileone (ITA) and the Italian Alberto Bolzan in the ClubSwan 36 Facing Future (ITA); or Olympic champions such as the German Jochen Schümann in OneGroup, the cantabre Fernando Echavarri in Skorpios (RUS) and the Basque Ithilker in Mathilker (I).

Spain won the first edition of The Nations Trophy in 2017. This year he defends title with a squadron made up of six teams, including two that contributed to the success of the inaugural edition with their respective class victories: theNadirby Pedro Vaquer, who won in Palma the title of European champion 2017 of the ClubSwan class 42; andPorron IXde Luís Senís, who after then proclaimed the world champion 2017 of Swan 45, accumulates an impressive palmaris that includes the world 2018, and the wins in The Nations Trophy Med League 2018 and 2019. In representation of Spain will also run the ClubSwan 50Tenseof Pablo Garriga, andAifos 500of the Spanish Navy, the ship usually patronized by S.M.
