Butxaca, Chance V, Folelé, Nona IX and Tamarán One, the winners in the five categories that have competed in the 3th edition of the Princess of Asturias of Cruises, this weekend in Las Palmas, organized by the Royal Gran Canaria Nautical Club.

The struggle of the X-32 Jilorio and Butxaca allowed them to cut distances to the X-37 Estrella Damm and Dragohomes, being the most determining moment when once the buoy of sotaventto was mounted and going the Jilorio first, a successful return to the land of the Butxaca allowed them to cut by passing through their twin and scratching up to two minutes on the ship of Laureano Romero, leaving the Dragohomes to a minute and then the Estrella Damm.

With these partials the Butxaca (RCNGC) of Joaquín Blanco wins the general of the class ORC 2-3 followed by the Dragohomes (RCNT) of Lucio Pérez Aranaz and the Star Damm (RCMPU) of Nacho Montes / Adolfo López.

In the class ORC 4 the Chance V (RCNGC) of Ricardo Seco was imposed by having in his computation three first, in front of the Duende (RCNGC) of Eduardo Olmos that despite being fourth in the coastal race of today he drew, a valuable point in the general to Alpispa 2 (CM Varadero) of Francisco Olivares. In the class ORC 5 the Folelé (RCNGC) of Begoña Abrante also held an impeccable championship and with three first wins this category against the Chorlito (RCNG) of Eduardo Bordes who had a second slack in today's race, allowing him to take three points to the Azenit (RCNGC) of Miguel Cantero.

In Class E the Nona IX (CN Varadero) wins the general without problems while the Tamaran One (Independent) of Roman Pérez does so in class E-2.

What a priori seemed to become a closed duel between the twin ships X-37 Estrella Damm and Dragohomes, has given way to a more open competition where the Butxaca and the Jilorio have also entered the twin ships Dufour 34, but of minor length, giving rise to a provisional where the first three are tied to points.

The two tests, both with a barlovent / sotavent course, have been a continuous dance of positions on each stretch, with very tight compensated times. In the first race, the Butxaca of Joaquin Blanco took the "cat into the water" taking only 15 seconds to the Dagohomes of Lucio Pérez Aranaz. In the second, however, it was the Damm Star of Nacho Montes who imposed himself with authority in front of the Tierfean ship.

The Jilorio de Laureano Romero was at first in the struggle, but his shipowner already recognized on the ground, that under these conditions his ship lacked the speed necessary to maintain the struggle with the most pointed ships. The Antigua Craiova launcher closed the classification of the first five in the 2-3 ORC.

In class ORC 4 the provisional general classification is winning the Chance V of Jorge del Corral, the Duende of Eduardo Olmos is second and the Alpispa of Francisco Olivares, third. In the group of boats of ORC 5 the Folelé de Begoña Abrante has managed after two regatta, s put some distance by taking three points from the provisional to the Chorlito of Eduardo Bordes, with Miguel Cantero attentive to the play to few two points and being third.

In class E, with only one contested race, things went well to Nona IX of Francisco Bravo, placing first comfortably on the provisional ahead of the ship of the Naval Regata Commission of the Porto Pi Navy and the Candela C. To highlight in this group the participation of the Elfos patroniado by Wichy Hernández with a crew composed of the quarry of regatists of the RCNGC of class 420.

This is the most outstanding class classification in Las Palmas, the 2-3 ORC Class:
