The Italian-Argentine TP42 Azzurra is the new 52 Super Series champion... the Roemmers Family ship has condemned the world's most important circuit for monocasque ships in the penultimate test of the Audi 52 Super Series Sailing Week race.

The race was won by the American Sled of Takashi Okura, of a definitive act that has been held in the waters of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda of Porto Cervo... the podium of the season is completed by the Platoon of Harm Müller-Spreer and the Quantum Racing of Doug DeVos.

Sled and Azzurra were again the major protagonists of the fourth day of the Audi 52 Super Series Sailing Week Porto Cervo. The American sailboat patrolled by Takashi Okura has almost condemned the final race of the season with an excellent day with a second and two first positions. Sled and Azzurra were today the first protagonists of the Audi 52 Super Series Sailing Week Porto Cervo, the American TP52 of Takashi Okura is the first leader of the race that houses the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, while the Roemmers family sailboat strengthened its leadership in the general Circuit over its direct rivals, Platoon and Quantum, thanks to its solid way of regating. The three sleeves of the first day were for Sled, Alegre and Bronenosec.

After the first day of the race Sled is leader with a point of advantage over the Azzurra while behind them two there is a group of four ships six points from the leader: Bronenosec, Alegre, Phoenix 11 and Quantum Racing. The Platoon, second in the general, is with one more point than this large group of sailboats.

The most equalled and nourished season end of candidates for the victory in the history of the 52 Super Series is disputed next week in the waters of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda... the Audi 52 Super Series Sailing Week Porto Cervo closes a great season of regatta on the wonderful stage of the coastal waters of Italian Sardinia.

Azzurra sails at home and, after a season in which they have been fully focused on the final title of the competition, want to corroborate their work in their own waters with the final title of which is considered the best race circuit in the world for monocascos.
