The Spanish rowing, on the way to Rio 2016.
The Spanish rowing is on a good track for this year's Olympic Games, to be held in August in Rio de Janeiro. Spain already has a classified team, the "two without timonel "and it is expected that some others will also join and get the square for the great Brazilian event, in the next international races of May, June and July.
The passports for Rio are scarce and limited and it will not be easy to conquer the post. The first test was the 2015 World Championship where the first tickets have already been awarded and where our only team was classified for now. This year, the resale is going to be much more difficult because the remaining squares are much less and there are many more aspirant and country teams with great tradition and history in this sport. There are fewer places left and many more aspirants. The challenge is certainly complicated. However, it is necessary to rely on the illusion and ambition of the Spanish remers whose spirit is also stubborn and irrevocable. And in sport, everything can happen.
The economic restrictions that the crisis has imposed for several years and which sport has suffered in general have, of course, also had a decisive influence on the rowing in particular. Many plans and programmes have had to be cut and reconsidered, and without being an apology, economic restrictions could have a decisive influence on the Spanish oar's programmes, development and projects. For now we already have the "two without a timonel," a team that will represent us on the Olympic tracks of Rio de Janeiro, but it is necessary to maintain the hope that in this last refishing of the upcoming World Row quotes, we can put some more bow that will lead us to the Olympic glory. As for the fixed bank rowing (batels, traineries and trainers) of the cantabrian and (llaúts, sea rowing and yolas) of the Mediterranean, they seem better settled, and thanks to many sponsors who continue to maintain their commitment to the rowing sport, the programmes are still maintained and could be said to "enjoy good health." Good recruitment campaigns are being conducted, from the most tender ages, from the age of eight, with national competitions (Spring Cup, Spanish Championships, etc.) that enjoy great appeal. They always have a beautiful, very numerous and illustrious participation, which is a good omen of a promising future for the Spanish rowing.
