The International Sailing Week of Santander City has come to an end after more than a week of various competitions in both the bay and the outside of Santanderina.
The tie was broken on a day when two female crews were going to fight their races knowing that one of them would rise with gold. Finally, it was Marta and Beatriz Gómez, from the Real Club Marítimo de Santander, who took the cat to the water, disbanding the leaders Lola Fernández and Carmen Gómez, from the Club Boya 14, with five points of margin.
Third was the crew of the Maritime formed by Marcos Hurtado and Álvaro Fernández, who finished the International Sailing Week by scoring a fifth place and a victory that left them only one point of silver.
In the Waszp class victory of Diego Botín of the Royal Maritime Club of Santander, his most direct rival Nicole Van der Velden... bronze has been the subject of the mallorcan Javier Torres.

07 / 09 / 2019: The girls lead the 420 in Santander and Botín command among the "waszp"
The spectacular Waszp have returned to show and two boats set the rules of the game in the International Sailing Week of Santander City... the "foliers" ships have represented a passionate struggle between the regatist of Aruba Nicole Van der Velden and the local Diego Botín, on a great day, scoring three first posts and a third - and in which they have not given their rivals a choice. The third ranked in the day, Catalan Javier Torres, takes off from the first two positions by staying 14 points from the leader and 10 from Van der Velden, despite winning the first race of the day.
The 420 class has lived its special meeting between women, with two crews who have fought for the triumph in the day: Lola Fernández and Carmen Gómez of Club Boya 14, and Marta and Beatriz Gómez of the Real Club Marítimo de Santander.
If the first of the two crews went out into the water on the day as leaders, the RCMS tandem was all going to score three podium posts in the three contested races (2,1.3), which in the end put them in second position and tied to points with the leaders Fernández-Gómez (6,5.2). Third, and four points from the game of the women, are Hurtado-Fernández, who won the first of the three races of the day.

The absolute world champion Martin Wizner, the Olympic Cantabros Diego Botín and Berta Betanzos or the pre-Olympic team member Arturo Alonso are some of the great names that are playing the title in Santander
Santander City International Week reaches its final line with the always spectacular Waszp class and the 420, which are competing until Sunday.
The 420 have come to hold two tests on the day with a female crew as a great domino, having won the two tests of the day. Lola Fernández and Carmen Gómez have imposed the rules of the game in the Bay of Santanderina, dominating from beginning to end the two tests. For their part Marcos Hurtado and Álvaro Fernández have always sailed to their stern, making two second positions... the third for the time being are Mario Cabanas and Cesar Vega who with a quarter and a third to the podium in third place.
Up to 12 scheduled races have the Waszp fleet that participates in the International Sailing Week of Santander City. The inaugural day for these flying ships has played four tests, out of a total of 12 scheduled until Sunday, has had as protagonists the regatist of Aruba and Olympic in 2016 Nicole Van der Velden.
After four trials, the victory, held until the last moment, has been for Nicolas Van der Veldet & # 8211with two first and two second -, in front of the premises of the R.C.M.S Diego Botín who played in the last of the races and scored a partial of 2,1,1.4. Third is Javier Torres of the Arenal Nautical Club with a 4, 5, 3 and 7 that leave him 11 points from the leader.
