The IV Regata Camino de la Cruz, Trofeo Punta Este Murcia already has its 2019 champions. An atypical edition but that has not lost spectacularity and emotion, both in the headquarters of the RCN of Torrevieja, North exit, and in the RCR Cartagena, South exit. In the North version, the favorites have not failed on a tour of more than 9 miles. The fourth edition of the Regata Camino de la Cruz, Trofeo Punta Este Murcia 2019 is launched... a week later, with 78 ships registered and important changes in their sports program. All this as a result of the devastating effects produced just over a week ago in La Manga del Mar Minor at the time of the DANA.

The damage suffered at Puente La Estacio in San Javier, where he was to recalculate the fleet after the coastal race from Torrevieja (Departure Zona Norte) and Cartagena (Departure Zona Sur) after the arrival of Palos, has forced the Consistory to close the maritime traffic for some ships. A measure that affects the ships of the Punta Este race that by the height of its masts are unable to access the port of sports Tomás Maestre. Until the last moment the Organizing Committee, as well as the town council of San Javier itself, have worked to be able to open and close the bridge and to normalize the maritime traffic, but it has not been able to be... a decision that reached today at 11 a.m. having to put in place plan B, so the race scheduled for Sunday 22 September is cancelled. The final decision was to make the race planned on the day of Saturday 21 September, with the simultaneous exits from the Torrevieja RCN (North Zone) and Cartagena RCR (South Zone). Both fleets face a modified route. The ships from Torrevieja will be able to go to CN Villa de San Pedro, located the arrival on an 11-mile tour. The Cartagena fleet, for its part, will have a tour in the bay close to 14 nautical miles.

In sports, the fleet has been registered for just over two weeks, reaching the 78 ships, a figure to take into account as a local race, but that has managed to bring together in these four years of life the best ships of the Comunitat Valenciana and Region of Murcia.

Among the 63 ORC ships, in their respective categories, are the cartagJanuary El Carmen Elite Sails (RCR Cartagena), champion of the OrC 2 King's Cup and the Alicantino Tanit IV Medilevel (RCR Alicante), world champion ORC 3 Corinthian (non-professional) in Croatia. But not only the only ones who give name and prestige to the race but also units whose palmaris spectacular, case of the Torreviejans Maverta, Sopu Two or Greek to quote one of them. From the Comunitat Valenciana are also present ships that enter the quinielas to be on the podium of Saturday night. These include Tucana I, Allegro Vivace, Kalamandurrio.

From the Region of Murcia, there are also the best, including El Carmen Elite Sails, the Fandango 300, Nemox, Trebol Queen, Hakuna S, HMS Suprise, Cañas II, Olima, Pinto Tercera, Zalata 2 or Albana 2. The ORC Promotional fleet also includes important ships, which have always been in podium squares in the main local races of the area.
