Double success for the first two events of the week Abanca 2019. While in Vigo was held the Galician Championship of Kayak de Mar-Trophy Concello de Vigo, in Barra de Miño in the province of Ourense the Xunta Galician Trophy of Nautical Skiing with Galician rank. In Vigo more than a thousand people were concentrated in the ETEA facilities to attend the closure of the pyragüism, while in Barra de Miño the president of the Spanish Federation of Nautical Skiing Francisco Fernández Losada, personally confirmed to the general secretary of the Abanca Week, Manuel Pedro Seoane, that in 2020 with the support of the Spanish and the vitola of "event of national interest," will take place in the province of Ourense, the Iberian Cup of Nautical Skiing... that will be the first time celebrated in history.

José Ramón Lete, the current Secretary of Sports of the Xunta de Galicia and the Vigo concelleiro Manuel Fernández, attended the ETEA among other authorities and delivered the numerous awards for the 350 participants, including the presence of the Spanish "globalists" Iván Alonso and Pedrosa that won in K2 10,000 meters; as well as the Argentine Garaicoechea and the Czech Pavik, which will be in the World Marathon Championship, to be held in China in October.

The Pyragüism will also have at the ETEA its second event at the Week Abanca 2019: it will be the Kayak Vigo Conch Trophy on track for the categories of preBenjamin, Benjamin and Alevines (male and female) with the rank of Galician championship... with a participation of 800 boys and girls!.

In Barra de Miño with a lot of wind at times the show was fascinating, as the incomparable framework of the Miño... joined the beauty of this sport. In the competitive part was on an excellent level the Spanish champion of Figuras 2018, the Orensian Alvaro Montes Gomez... who won with much advantage in the category, leaving silver and bronze, for the Spanish-Leonese Francisco Fernández (current president of Spanish) and Nicolás Suárez.

In senior slalom the Orensians' domain was total, with Andrade, Garrido and Pereira at the metal stations. In Open won Pamies of the San Telmo de Tui and his club partner Silvia Leiras did the same in Sub17 ahead of Suárez and Montaño, of the Nautical Club of León. Finally in "minislalom" the first three squares were taken by the athletes of the Ponteedrés Club Náutico de Arcade.

07 / 09 / 2019: Abanca Week: Ivan Alonso and Sobrado win the Vigo Concello of Kayak de Mar

The tustense Iván Alonso and the Pontevedrés Jaime Sobrado of the Club of Olivico Piragüism were clearly imposed in the category of male senior K2 in the Trophy Concello of Vigo of Piragüismo, which opened the Week of Abanca 2019 and which was held in the magnificent field of regatas of the ETEA, at the foot of the legendary narrow of Rande... in play amén of the open vigués to which is to be placed in a reference of the Spanish pyragüism of kayak of the Galleguo, the Galleguo of the Xalta.

The judges with this hard panorama chose to set up the race field with exit on the ETEA very close to the peninsula of the Guide in the Vigo Ria, with several turns in beacons and reach the Rande Bridge, to return to the line of arrival. The fastest were Ivan Alonso and Jaime Sobrado with an excellent chrono of 00.39.29, behind them they reached the goal Diaz and Liñallo also from the Olívico that achieved the silver. If you will be in China at the World Marathon (Ivan Alonso will participate in K1 and K2)... there will also be two palists who today have competed in viguese waters: Manuel Garaicoechea subchampion of Argentina in K1 and the Czech Pavik Mtous who competed for the Club of Piragüismo as Xubias of A Coruña. The two defeated in their categories, even though in the case of Argentina, they could not officially score for the Galician-Xunta Trophy Championship of Galicia.

In the different categories, highlight the oros achieved by the Coruñese clubs of As Xubias, the Ria de Muros de Noia and the Piragüismo de Rianxo. On the other hand, the most prominent clubs are the Olívico Vigués, Cobres, Cambados, Aldán and Illa de Arousa.

In Ourense in the tests of Esqui Nautico with the range of Campenato Galician of the specialty, the strong wind time had prevented at the end of Saturday the beginning of the previous sleeves, even though the judges were doing their best to complete the program. Beginning of the week Abanca 2019 with competitions of pyragüism and nautical skiing to the unisine... on the track of the ETEA the turn for the Trophy Concello of Vigo of Piraguismo and in the Barra of Miño, in the province of Ourense, competitions of nautical ski. In both cases, the quality of Galician-GP Xunta Championships, but "open," so that athletes from other autonomous communities and even from other countries can participate.

The organization in Vigo in charge of the Club de Piragüismo Olívico and the Club Marítimo de Vigo, which will have several hundred palists coming from all corners of Galicia, with special notoriety for the provinces of La Coruña and Pontevedra. In the afternoon at four and a half will start the rest of the sleeves to the mixed young and senior K2, which already compete at 10,000 meters alternating with tests of 5,000 depending on the categories... intended for cadets, young, senior and master... both female and male. The delivery of medals to the seven o'clock edge is planned.

The organizers have deployed to the sustainability of the event that will congrere several hundred athletes, and for this purpose is following the road map of the "good environment" events of Coca Cola and that of the Ministry of the Environment itself... for this purpose two "recycling islands" have been installed with the collaboration of the specialized company González Coucairo, to meet all environmental requirements.

In the impressive framework of the Miño and very close to the capital Ourense, the competitions of this week Abanca in Barra de Miño will be held. Deportists of Galicia, the community of Castilla y León, and of the capital of Spain will compete for the Galician Open Championship, Grand Prix Xunta de Galicia.

The 400-meter sleeves will last 3 to 5 minutes, and each competitor will cover two sleeves: one on Saturday and the other on Sunday, and its best time is to compute for the final classification. The categories are mini slalom with Pablo Puentes and Ruth Vilas of the Arcade Nautico as favorites, in union with the Leoness Carolina Fernández of the Club Nautico de León.

In Slalom Sub17, two girls appear as stronger, one that is the great favorite of the Nautico de León: Marta Suárez... and of the Galician Silvia Leiras of the San Telmo de Tui.

In slalom open, the pontevedrés Nicolás Regueira is the highest candidate for gold, while in slalom senior Luis Diéguez of the Alarcón Centre of Madrid it is the one who has the bets in his favor; along with the Leonese Francisco Fernández and Nicolás Suárez also from the Nautico Club of León and the Orensian José Ramón Garrido of the Nautico Dummies of Ourense.
