The cruises and J80 in addition to the Snipe class live a demanding start within International Sailing Week, with delicate conditions on Saturday day and very strong winds on Sunday day

The inaugural sports day of the International Sailing Week, Santander City, gave one lime and another sand to the CruceroJ80 and Snipe classes, convened on the first weekend of the International Sailing Week Santander City.

On Saturday day, almost 100 athletes saw the rain, the almost zero wind and the strong tide as making things complicated for the Regatta Committee of the Royal Maritime Club of Santander. While the Cruise-J80 class could hardly finish a short tour, the Snipes had to stay on the ground.

The change of the torns on Sunday, with wind that, although loose at the time of the departure, more than 20 knots with constant hustles, offered a sailing show.

On the cruise the IRC1 classification had the Sun Fast 3200 "Inzenhabit" of Gustavo Arce and Belén Roson as winner with a third and first place in their partial results while the Alalunga, a Grand Surpirse, by Fernando Rodríguez went up to the second step of the podium with a technical tie that gave him two seconds.

In IRC2 the Hanse 315 "Blendio" of Cesar Obregon has made clear its potential with two first pruestas, followed by the Half Ton "Vicitur" of Ricardo Reguilon with a second and a third that gave him the silver.

The IRC3 class was only able to score in the Sunday race with victory for the "Stardust," a First 211 by Juan Fernández- Cosero, followed by the Gib Sea "Chini" by Gonzalo Blanco.

Among the snipes, the victory was for the "Chiqui IV" of Enrique García de Soto and Luis Abarca, followed by the Basque team "Amalia" of Tomás Trueba and Perico Basterra and the "Chiqui" of Jose Francisco García del Soto and Manuel Sánchez.
