The coastal race, with 22 miles for the ORC 1-3 and 17.8 miles for the ORC 4 and ORC E, leaves the Elamar, Slike and Ya going as leaders in their respective groups in the absence of a day and a single planned test barlovento-sotavento (Photo Pep Portas)
The second day of the tenth edition of the Ruta del Coral Regata, BMW Motor Costa Trophy, with a coastal race with 22 miles for the 1-3 ORC and 17.8 miles for the ORC 4 and ORC E, leaves a somewhat defined provisional general classification for the last day in the waters of Almería.
Melilla City was the first to take the arrival line, which has done so at 3.26 p.m. by investing almost 3 hours to complete the 22 miles of the tour. Two CM Almeria ships came after him: Red Shark at 3.46 p.m. and Peneque Pro, with a difference of just over 2 minutes.
About 3.30 p.m. the first of the ORC 4 arrived, with a route set at about 17 miles. Toconal of the nautical Motril crossing the arrival located between the lighthouse and the club at 1528 hours, followed by the Amor Fati (CM Benalmádena) with a real difference of 18 minutes, while Toconal was third with just 17 seconds on the ship of Benalmádena. In ORC E, with the same distance, Ya Andará has been the first, arriving at the Almerian club at 3.42 p.m.
After the compensation of times Peneque Pro and Enriarero-Punta de Indias tied in that first test... already in the second was the place who awarded the triumph while now they tied Red Shark and Elamar... in ORC 4 Amor Fati is the leader of their lot, while in ORC E Gloria the first test was scored and will already be the second.
With the results of the first day and those produced today, Elamar del Medio de Málaga, continues first in the group ORC 1-3, while the Peneque Pro of the Club de Mar de Almería is a second with 6.5 points, only 2 of the leader, while Red Shark, of the same club, is third with 8.5 points... the podiums in ORC 4 and ORC is made up of Slike, Amor Fati and Toconal in the first of them, and with Ya Andará, Gloria and Alaban in the second.

The Coral Road closes its first day in the bay of Almería and does so with a single complete test of the two planned... due to the lack of wind.
Among the 'big' (ORC 0-ORC 3) the Melillense Farr 49 City of Melilla (RCM Melilla) has dominated from beginning to end in real time, although these very bad wind conditions and their rating have penalized him much after obtaining the compensated times as it closes the day at the 7th place.
This little wind has helped the smaller ships, proof of this is the provisional general, with the Malagasy Elamar (Mediterranean RC), a First 34.7, has become leader, followed by the local Red Shark (A-35) and Peneque Pro (Vrölijk 37), both of the CM Almería, second and third respectively.
The ORC 4 fleet has been more equal, since all ships are almost equal in terms of their length. This equality has led to changes in several stages of the race, in the four sections of that 6-mile tour. Once the times have been compensated, the provisional podium is left with the Slike (CNM Benalmádena) followed by Samar II and Olaola, both of the CM Almeria.
No less equal has been the most amateur fleet in almerian waters. Already, Andará, from Benalmádena, has set up a provisional leader. The second square has been for Glora (CN Aguadulce) while the almerian Nihal (CM Almería) is third.
For the second day it is planned a coastal tour of 23 miles for the big and 16 for the small. After the departure the fleet will set its way to the Torregarcia Hermitage, from there to the Piscifactory, minus the ORC 4 and ORC E, and return to the Club de Mar Almería.
