Platoon won the Rolex TP52 World Championship for the second time in Puerto Portals. The ship of the German Harm Müller-Spreer had already won the World Cup in 2017 in Scarlino and in Mallorca has repeated the feat. In the podium he was accompanied by the Azzurra de la Alberto and Pablo Roemmers who finished second and the Bronenosec of Vladimir Liubomirov who was third.

As regards the general classification of the 52 Super Series circuit the Azzurra remains the leader with six points of advantage over the German sailboat and eleven over the Quantum Racing. The winner of the season will be decided within four weeks in the waters of Porto Cervo where the fifth and last event of the 2019 season is disputed.

Platoon also repeats this season's victory as last June he won in the Port Sherry 52 Super Series Royal Cup. The low wind and flat sea conditions are the ideal for the specifications of the Müller-Spreer sailboat that is a design of the Dutch Rolf Vrolijk and have been given in the Bay of Cadiz and in that of Palma.

Platoon is the ship with the most Spanish on its crew with five (Victor Mariño, Pedro Mas, Pepe Ribes, Javier Plaza and Jordi Calafat) and today he has won his second world title on a very complicated day for favorites in which it seemed that neither they nor Azzurra wanted to take the crown that left Doug DeVos's Quantum Racing vacant.

The Platoon ran today to win its second World Cup of the TP52 class after making two first and one fifth in a fantastic race day in the Bay of Palma of 52 Super Series... the Harm Müller-Spreer ship is leader of the Rolex TP52 World Championship with seven points of advantage over the Azzurra of the Roemmers family and eleven over the Bronenosec of Vladimir Liubomirov.

Platoon, with the mallorquins Pedro Mas and Jordi Calafat on board, had been in the first two sleeves the most regular ship of the fleet since it had not done any bad result, but today it could be seen with two victories, the first one well deserved and the second one with a point of luck, and a fifth place that tastes to glory after recovering from a bad exit.

Thus, the German sailboat arrives today on the last day with a certain margin that can allow it to repeat the world title that it achieved in 2017 in Scarlino and, also, to achieve the second victory of the season in 52 Super Series, after that which it achieved in Puerto Sherry with conditions of wind very similar to those in Mallorca this week.

Azzurra and Bronenosec have taken on the second and third position of the general because they have done an excellent job in the water today. The sailboat that leads the Argentine Guillermo Parada jumped the day with two seconds and a quarter while the Russians made a sixth, a third and ended the marathon day with a meritorious victory taking out all the potential to the newest sailboat of the entire fleet... the general after seven sleeves is as follows:

1. Platoon (GER) (Harm Müller-Spreer) (4,5,2,3,1,1.5) 21 points.
2. Azzurra (ARG / ITA) (Alberto Roemmers) (2,9,4,5,2,4.2) 28 p.
3. Bronenosec (RUS) (Vladimir Liubomirov) (5,8,3,6,3,3,1) 32 p.
4. Alegre (USA / GBR) (Andrés Soriano) (10.4,5,1,8,2,6) 36 p.
5. Sled (USA) (Takashi Okura) (9,1,1,2,9,10,8) 40 p.
6. Quantum Racing (USA) (Doug DeVos) (1,7,8,4,7,9) 40 p.
7. Phoenix 12 (RSA) (Tina Plattner) (3,3,7,7,5,5,11) 41 p.
8. Phoenix 11 (RSA) (Hasso Plattner) (8,2,9,11,8,4) 51 p.
9. Gladiator (GBR) (Tony Langley) (6,10,6,8,7,9,11) 57 p.
10. Team Vision Future (FRA) (Jean Jacques Chaubbard) (7,6,10,10,10,6,10) 59 p.

The storms today led to the suspension of the two expected sleeves of the Rolex TP52 World Championship that is being fought in Puerto Portals.

The fleet was waiting until two in the afternoon when the head of the Regatas Committee, the alicantina María Torrijo, decided to cancel the day.

Thus, the classification remains the same with the Takashi Okura Sled as the general leader with a point of advantage over the Platoon and seven over a group of four teams (Alegre, Quantum, Azzurra and Phoenix 12).

Sled, from the American shipowner Takashi Okura, has taken on the first place in the general of the Rolex TP52 World Championship that is being held in Puerto Portals after two days of race.

The 52 Super Series American ship today chained two magnificent results (first and second) and is the leader with an advantage over the Platoon of Harm Müller Spreer and seven over a group of four ships (Alegre, Quantum, Phoenix 12 and Azzurra).

The day's victories were for Sled himself in the first manga, while the second, which was a lottery for a dramatic wind role, was taken by Andrés Soriano's Alegre. The classification in Puerto Portals is as follows:

The German shipowner and cane Tina Plattner is the leader of the Rolex TP52 World Championship that began today in the waters of the Bay of Palma. The Phoenix 12 of the only woman to command one of the 52 Super Series sailboats was the most regular today in the Puerto Portals race field with two third positions. The two sleeves were won by the two American sailboats of the fleet, Doug DeVos's Quantum Racing and Takashi Okura's Sled.

The other news of the day was the mast break that took place on the sailboat Providenza. The misfortune occurred in the second close of the first race. At that time the weather conditions were not, at all, a problem or a risk to ships. Some nine knots and flat sea did not foresee the roar that occurred in the race field at the time the stick split into several pieces. In the incident, the Turkish regatist Ahmed Edieoglu was injured and transferred to a hospital in Mallorca for a series of medical tests.

Provizza was working against the clock this afternoon to bring a spare mast from Valencia. The idea of the team is that, if everything works as they expect, the appendix is first thing in the morning in Portals tomorrow to click on the boat and try to get it on the starting line at 13: 00. If the Turkish project led by the shipowner Ergin Imre is able to be on the starting line tomorrow he will have achieved a logistical feat only within reach of the great projects of the world sail.

The new world champion of the TP52 class is decided in Puerto Portals from tomorrow until next Thursday... 11 ships of eight different nationalities are fighting for the triumph in the Rolex TP52 World Championship Puerto Portals 2019. The waters and winds of the Bay of Palma will be the stage where the ships of 52 Super Series, the best circuit in the world for monocasque ships, fight for the world scepter.

Today, the official training race in the bay of Palma has been held... an embat wind of about 12 knots has been the constant during the two preparation exits and the third that was already the prelude of the complete race. The week is expected with similar winds so the action is secured between the fleet.

Today's training race has been won by the Provider of the Turkish shipowner Ergin Imre... the Turkish ship that John Cutler manages competed all the manga with Alberto Roemmers's Azzurra for the lead although the Quantum Racing was always close to them in a comfortable third position.

The eleven teams participating in the Rolex TP52 World Championship Puerto Portals agreed that this edition of the World Cup will be the most competitive and is held in an idyllic place such as the Calvià Navy. Eleven representatives of the 52 Super Series teams were present at the championship's massive inaugural press conference that hosts projects of eight different nationalities and that is disputed from Sunday to next Thursday, with a maximum of ten sleeves in the Bay of Palma.

The race is the most important within the season of 52 Super Series as, in addition to counting for the title of the season, it crown in Portals this week to the ship that for a year is going to take the title of world champion of the class TP52. And they also defend the title they achieved last year in the waters of Cascais.

The 2019 season of the competition is certainly the most competitive of all its editions... three different winners in the three contested races (Platoon, Providenza and Quantum) and the leader of the circuit is the Azzurra that despite not having won races if it has made it more consistent... also, the Roemmers family ship already knows what it is to win a World Cup in Puerto Portals waters. They did it in 2015 with an exhibition where we needed to haggle the last sleeve... this time it won't happen the same. The teams participating in Palma Bay are as follows:

Alegre - Andy Soriano (USA / GBR), 2018 Botin
Azzurra - Roemmers Family (ARG / ITA), 2018 Botin
Bronenosec - Vladimir Liubomirov (RUS), 2019 Botin
Gladiator - Tony Langley (GBR), 2017 Botin
