The Comanche is the fastest monocasco in the world.
The super maxi Comanche, patronized by the American Ken Read and with the singing Pablo Arararte 'Patan' on his crew, overtook during the Transatlantic Race, the record to travel more miles in 24 hours. A total of 618, thus exceeding the brand that had established seven years ago the VO70 Ericsson 4 patrolled by the Brazilian Torben Grael, which was at 596.6 miles in the Volvo Ocean Race stage between Alicante and Cape Town. It seems that the Atlantic Ocean is the most conducive to surpassing this 24-hour record. On this occasion the Comanche patronized by Ken Read, has done it in North Atlantic waters at an average of 25.7 knots of speed taking advantage of a good wind regime between 24 and 27 knots, while the Ericsson 4 achieved it in the South Atlantic at an average of 24.85.
The good of Patan, already has another merit in his already dilated palmaris as ocean regatist, after recently finishing second with Team Brunel the Volvo Ocean Race. Without a doubt Arrarte is already another of the great Spanish ocean regatists that has become a hole and has earned respect in the world sail.
