Last hour: the judges recalify "Solventis" that wins class 1 of the Maeloc Rías Baixas
Last time. The jury chaired by José Angel Rodríguez Santos (former president of the Royal Spanish Vela Federation) has decided to disqualify the "Bouvento" and reclassify the "Solventis." This ship, armed by Alberto and Pablo Moro of Mount Real Club of Yates of Baiona, with Malalo Bermudez of Castro in the cane, has been declared the winner of Class 1 of the Regata Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas.
He finished the Maeloc Rías Baixas Regata that has organized the Royal Nautico Club of Vigo, and concluded only in a theoretical way... because the judges must rule on the approach of the "Bouvento" on the leader to Commud of Class 1: the "Solventis" of the Coruñés Malalo Bermudez de Castro... if they give the reason to the Figaro del Monte Real everything will remain as it is... if they are given to the ship of Alberto and Pablo Moro, there may be another winner. The discussion will take place for a while, on the part of the Protests Committee, chaired by the jury José Angel Rodríguez Santos, former president of the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela.
It all happened in Commud at the start of the fourth stage, when "Bouvento" patrolled by Elena Raga hit the "Solventis" and one of his carbon shells went to the fret... the withdrawal was forced. Now the Malalo people will try to convince the judges that they have been harmed and will apply for the compensation provided for in the regulation... which would give them an average score of those obtained in the first three stages... but nothing is decided.
In the sorberbed sea the "April Oils" in class 1 that took the absolute victory, as well as the "Bosch Service Solutions" that did the same in class 2... in which he achieved three first four-stage. The control of the ship of Ramón Ojea has been total in one of the two classes considered "great." It is important to note in this group the "Arroutado" of José Manuel Pérez del Náutico de Portosín (he also conquered in real with 03-31-32), which was the winner of the stage held between Commud and Vigo; a stage in which there were everything: clouds and sun, south and west, very low winds and winds of up to 13 knots on the Costa de la Vela... between the rios of Pontevedra and Vigo.
The greatest defeated in the two "queens" classes were the "Pairo 8" of Luis Arriola in 1, and "Cachete" of Fran Edreira, who had to settle for the second squares. To highlight that the third place in class 2 was for "Antilope-Lener" of Gijón Bay... which also achieves a legend position... as it is the best of an Asturian ship on the Rías Baixas, from always.
In the three the struggle was focused between the "Maracaná I" vigués and the "La Borda Negra" of Castrelo de Miño, with the victory of the first... it is necessary to note that the ship of the Castrelo Nautical Club of Miño, has achieved a historical classification of an Orensian ship. The bronze for the "Alma do Mar" of the Coruñés Nito Enriquez.
"Camping Ria de Arousa" counted its races for first positions, and won the street category for the Boiro Nautical Club. The ship of José Manuel Pombar already accumulates 6 "Rías" as winner of this category, after 26 consecutive participations. In the 5 new victory of the "Korrikolari" by Ignacio González del Nautico de Beluso with a triple tie in the head, between this ship, the "Laste" and the "Centos."
In Open victory for the "Txole" of the Royal Mount that was very regular, in the Combarro-Vigo the second was a very illustrious, the Basque Unai Basurko participating in the World Tour in Solitaire with his "Pottoka..." which was worth it to reach the fifth place in the Open, which has been the best classification of a ship of Euskadi in this Maeloc Rías Baixas. By the way, the "Villa de Marín" claimed the "Fresgarrido" who had skipped a tour beacon, and the ship of José Angel Quintero recognized it and withdrew.

16 / 08 / 2019: Almost everything resolved in the Sea of Maeloc Rías Baixas in the absence of the Combarro-Vigo

The mess is armed in Class 1... where four ships are played in the last stage... but they depend on each other (Photo Pedro Seoane)
The Regata Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas completed its penultimate act on Friday afternoon, in which it was the shortest of the four stages: A Pobra do Caramiñal- Commud... and it did so according to the tradition of the Galician sailing industry that has organized since 1964 the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo... winning those who had not won and punching those who occupied the high positions, at least in terms of the class of the higher rating ships, class 1.
The winner of 2018, the "Pairo 8" that José Luis Freire makes and has as a cane Luis Bugallo Arriola component of the Team of Spain of the Young Americas Cup, did not fail on this occasion and was imposed on the leader, "Solventis" of Malalo Bermudez de Castro who was the first to arrive in Commud... but who was not enough in the compensation of times.
The third on this occasion was José Manuel Pérez and his spectacular "Arroutado" of the Real Club Náutico de Portosín and fourth the "Oils Abril" of Luis and Jorge Pérez Canal. In this way "Solventis" is left with 6 points and has behind it "Pairo 8" with 8 and "Oils Abril" with 9... just like the surprising "Marías" Portuguese.

The mess is armed in Class 1... where four ships are played in the last stage... but they depend on each other (Photo Pedro Seoane)
As in football, those of Freire and the Pérez Canal do not win; they need "third parties" to get between them and those of Bermudez de Castro. The fight will certainly be without barracks.
Much quieter about class 2, with a "Bosch Service Solutions" by Ramón Ojea that takes two first and one second... by the way the one that caused him the boat of Ribeira "Moucho" that he won today in Commud in the category. The winner of the Rías Altas, the "Cachete" of Coruñés Fran Edreira is second.
"Alma do Mar" of the also Coruñés pattern Nito Enriquez won class 3, the second being the "Maracaná" and the third the Orensian "La Mocka Negra" that remains leader... but very fair: on the down to Vigo the ship of Castrelo de Miño and that of the Nautico de Vigo will be played.
In the 4 all very clear, with new first for the boat of the Nautico de Boiro "Camping Ria de Arousa" with José Manuel Pombar to the cane... the second square seems safe for "Argalleiro" of the Pontevedrés Fernando Otero del Nautico de Comarto.
In class 5, the "Korrikolari" of the Beluso Nautico again won... but the failure to get into the time limit in the Vigo-Sanxenxo takes him away from the first place in the general, from which we cannot offer the results of the general, because at the time of writing this chronicle they had not reached Commud.
In this third stage "Centos" was provisionally the second and "Voltar" the third.
Among the Open the "Txole" of Mount Real Club of Yates of Baiona has been made with the lead thanks to its regularity: 2nd -2nd -1st, while in the "Sportboats" it is Willy Alonso the leader with its "Castrosúa."
For the fourth stage of Saturday from 1: 00 p.m. to Vigo, at night at the edge of 9: 00 p.m. closing ceremony of this Sea of Maeloc Rías Baixas in the living rooms of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo.

(4th stage)
The fourth stage of the Maeloc Rías Baixas Sea will be the one that closes this edition. It will begin as previous to the edge of one of the afternoon for the so-called A group (Classes 1, 2, 3) and ten minutes later for the remaining ones. The "aes" will have a tour of about 25 miles, with a single turn... that of the Picamillo by port in the middle of Pontevedra... from there to Vigo in direct direction... that's for "inside" of the Cí Islands. The "bés" even simpler as it will be to the direction to the olive port after the beacon of dismantling... which is about 21 nautical miles. With regard to the "meteo" they talk about some clouds and winds of a southwestern component of about 8 to 10 knots.
15 / 08 / 2018: The head of Class 1 is complicated in the Regata Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas in the equator
"Oils Abril" patrolled by the Orensian patron Luis Pérez Canal took a giant step in search of the leadership of the class of ships of great length of the Regata Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas that organizes the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo. The leader continues to be "Solventis" by Alberto and Pablo Moro of Monte Real Club de Yates with the Coruñés Malalo Bermudez de Castro, but he has the Orensano already at one point. In class 2, the "Bosch Service Solutions" stands out, as well as the "Camping Ria de Arousa in the 4... while in the 3 there is a change of leader in favor of the" Black Mockery "of the Castrelo de Miño Nautical Club, as in the Open where the Navy ship" Villa de Marin "and in the Sportboats the new leader is the Viguese pattern Willy Alonso with" Castosúa. "For Friday third act with beginning at one o'clock in the afternoon in A Pobra, to Marina Commud in the town of Poio, very close to Pontevedra capital.
It began the second stage of this Sea of Maeloc Rías Baixas, with a north-west wind of about 10 knots... wind that gradually went up at the north exit of the river of Pontevedra until 12, and through the island of Sálvora at 15... but at the entrance of the river of Arousa everything remained in good intentions, because it slowly went out, until it ended at nothing. A shame because the race had had a really spectacular first part.
The ones in group B (classes 4, 5 and special) were the first to be planted in A Pobra do Caramiñal... for two reasons: first because in the Open are the ships of the largest length and on another because they complete seven miles less than in group A. The first in real was the Baltic 56 by José Angel Quintero "Fresgarrido" with a very good chrono of 02.55.21. In the other lot, the "regators" also repeated the real victory of the first day, as Malalo Bermudez de Castro first crossed the line of arrival with 04.30.31.
This situation of the lack of wind, again favored the ships of larger length, with exceptions... such as the case of the "Pairo 8" of José Luis Freire, with Luis Bugallo to the cane that is going to have very difficult to renew if victory of 2018, since he made a partial room, after "Oils Abril," the Portuguese "Marías" of Póvoa do Varzim that was again surprised and the "Solventis" that holds in the lead. He improved in this class, one of the favorites "Arroutado" by José Manuel Pérez de Portosín, who maintains an important pulse with another boat from the same club: the "Clínicas Gaias."
In class 2 Ramón Ojea with his "Bosch Service Solutions" has everything in favor of renewing victory, after winning again. By the way in this group very well the Asian ship of the Gijón Bay Club "Antilope-Lener" that was second, ahead of "Starfighter" and the Herculine "Cachete" that holds in the second square, but with a clear disadvantage of the ship of Ojea.
The ship of the Náutico de Castrelo de Miño gave the bell in class 3, the "Black mockery" of Juan José Martínez... as it managed to unblock the powerful Vigo ship "Maracaná..." third was the "Alma do Mar" of the Coruñés Nito Enriquez, which is still in positions above.
"Camping Ria de Arousa" does not give its rivals a break in class 4 and it is seen as a class winner, while in 5 the "Laste" with two partial seconds is the new leader, of a class in which on this occasion it defeated "Korrikolari." They completed the different tables, the special classes in which "Villa de Marín" was imposed today in Open and "Castrosúa" in Sportboats, which are the new leaders.

A POBRA DO CARAMIÑAL- COMBARRO (3rd stage)
The third stage of this Sea of Maeloc Rias Baixas will be "more direct..." proof of it that despite Marina Commud, in Poio very close to Pontevedra capital, will be the shortest of the four stages: 23 miles for classes 1, 2 and 3, which will begin in front of Pobra at the edge of one in the afternoon. Only 10 minutes later the rest of the classes will start the competition, which will have a shorter tour, but only one mile less: 22 miles. The "big" after taking the beacon to unmark a mile from the exit, will make a practically "direct" route to Commud... just like the smaller ones and the special classes. Friday will be sunny, with winds from the west to the north-west, with an average of about 8 knots... if so it will be an excellent day to regatta, between the rias of Arousa and Pontevedra.
14 / 08 / 2019: Impact of Solventis and Bosch Service Solutions in the Sea of Maeloc Rías Baixas

"Solventis" armed by the brothers Moro, Alberto and Pablo, and with Malalo Bermudez de Castro, was one of the beneficiaries of the little wind in the Vigo-Sanxenxo that marked the beginning of this "Rías" (Photo Pedro Seoane)
"Solventis" patroniado por el coruñés Malalo Bermudez de Castro del Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona y "Bosch Service Solutions" del Marítimo de Canido con Ramón Ojea a la rea, son los dos dominadores de la classes de gran llora de esta edición 2019 de la Regata Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas que organiza el Club Real Náutico de Vigo.
In the other categories, the leaders at the end of the first stage held between Vigo and Sanxenxo are "Maracaná" by Luis Suárez del Náutico de Vigo in class 3, "Camping Ria de Arousa" by José Manuel Pombar del Náutico de Boiro in the 4 and "Laste" by Angel Peña del Marítimo de Red in the 5.
In the so-called special categories: open and sportboats, those who command for the moment are "Fresgarrido" by José Angel Quintero and the Orensian Alejandro Pérez Canal with their J70 "Bosch Service Solutions"
With punctuality it began in the waters of the river of Vigo the Regata Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas, with 70 ships in line of departure, but with a very fair wind that barely reached the six knots. The most important cruise race in stages at the national level had a very undesired start.
The wind was already weakened in the middle of Costa de la Vela, a coastal area between the Rias de Vigo and Pontevedra, famous for its calm and the fleet was floating in many moments, rather than sailing, on its arrival to the beautiful villa Pontevedresa of Sanxenxo.
The first to reach the line of arrival was the "Fresgarrido" in respect of group B (classes 4, 5, open and sportboats) with a chrono of 03.23.14... in group A the fastest was the "Solventis" that Albert and Pablo Moro made with 05.01.41... but the latter had about seven more miles to complete.
In compensation the cat was taken to the water in class 1 "Solventis," followed by a surprising "Marias" of the Yate Clube de Porto, the winner in 2018 "Pairo 8" with Luis Bugallo to the cane and the one who wants to beat in this edition "Oils Abril" by Luis and Jorge Pérez Canal... "Clinics Gaias" completed the group of head, leaving out of it the "Salseiro" of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña, the ship of Getxo "Ajkelarre" and the "Arrotado de Portosín."
In the other very strong class, Ramón Ojea with "Bosch Service Solutions" took the first square, relegating to the second square to the Coruñés "Cachete" winner of the Rías Altas 2019. In the three victory of the "Maracana" vigués, the second being the Orensian "Black Mockery" of Castrelo de Miño.
In the 4 "Camping Ria de Arousa" was the winner in Sanxenxo, ahead of one of the favorites: Luis Pérez's "Balea Dous" and in the 5 "Laste" of the Network Maritime was the winner... so are the classifications:

Just over 27 miles has this second stage for classes 1, 2 and 3, which will start in front of the Villa de Sanxenxo at the edge of one in the afternoon. Only 10 minutes later the rest of the classes will start the competition, which will have a shorter tour: about 20 miles. After the two exits, the "large" will have to leave the beacon of Picamillo by port, and the beacon of the Esqueiros... and also while those of classes 4, 5, Open and Sportboats will have to enfiliate the line of arrival in A Pobra do Caramiñal by port, they will have to leave the island of Arousa by starboard and by port by port the beacon of the Aurora and already to end by the opposite band, by stowage in the form of jimkana, the one of Moscardiño... if the wind accompanies will be a beautiful part of the North, and the Aroza Islands by port.
13 / 08 / 2019: 70 cruises from all the Cantábrico and Portugal in the Regata Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas
It begins in Galician waters, with the organization of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo the Regata Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas, which has finally achieved its goal for this edition to reach the 70 cruises, which will represent the fleets of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Basque Country and Portugal, with about 600 regatists on board. The sign of exit to the edge of the one and a half of the afternoon, on Wednesday from the central area of the Ria de Vigo, heading to Sanxenxo in the Ria de Pontevedra, to complete the first stage. For the first time in its history since its creation in 1964, which is the most important race in stages at the Peninsular level, is part of the concept Mar de Maeloc, along with the Rías Altas and Finisterre races.
The first act has 22 miles for larger competitors (classes 1.2 and 3), while the rest of the different categories (4, 5, open and sportboats) will sail about six miles less. The wind and sea conditions seem to be good: north-east winds of 6 knots, which can already be on the Costa de la Vela (coastal area between the Ries of Vigo and Pontevedra) even 10 knots. It is therefore foreseeable that the fleet may already be in the beautiful villa Pontevedresa of Sanxenxo, around five in the afternoon.
In competition, amen of the great quantity, a great quality. Among those of major handicap appears as the ship to beat the "Pairo 8" that José Luis Freire guns and has as a cane the component of the Spanish team of Young Americas Cup, Luis Bugallo Arriola. The Farr 39 of Freire has been imposed in the last two editions (2017-2018); being the winner of 2016, he will be his great rival: "Oils Abril" of the Orensian Luis Pérez Canal... and a curious fact: Freire was amateur world champion of J70 in the US in 2018 and Pérez Canal achieved the same this year in Italian waters. It sounds like a rematch. It's seen where it's seen.
In this class, they also count for the victory ships such as the "Akelarre" of Maurice Guibert or the "Urbegui" of Javier Larrañaga. Both of Getxo, the first of the Abra Maritime and the second of the Orza.
He also joins the victory dispute, another excellent pattern such as Malalo Bermudez de Castro with "Solventis" of the Moro brothers of Mount Real Club de Yates de Baiona. As well as the "Arroutado" a Grand Soleil 42 that patrons an expert and great cane such as José Manuel Pérez, who competes for the Royal Nautical Club of Portosín, as well as "Clínicas Gaias" by José María Peino.
In the class 2 very much level, with ships such as the "Starfighter" of Julio Rodríguez, "Milaneza" of the Portuguese Rui Amoría del Clube de Vela Atlántico de Leixóes, Ramón Ojea and his "Bosch Service Solutions" that carries three consecutive "Rías" in their existence and competes for the Club Marítimo de Canido, the Coruñeses "Lambaix," "Cachete" (winner of the Rías Altas)... or the pontevedrés "Juancaría" of Commud. Also highlight the ship of the Bay of Gion, "Antilope-Lener" by José Luis Alonso, a fast Grand Soleil 37.
The Ria de Arousa also presents candidates for the triumph, case of the "Camping Ria de Arousa" by José Manuel Pombar of Club Náutico de Boiro, to the great favorite in class 4, the "Balea Dous" of the Real Club Náutico de Rodeira... class in which the "Deep Blue" vigués will also be in the front line. In class 3 the ship to beat the "Alma do Mar" of the Coruñés Nito Enriquez... the "Maracaná" of the Vigués Luis Suárez or "A Pillara" of the Nautical Club of Riveira that patrons José Manuel Ben Otero.
The largest category will be the "open" with 20 registered cruises, among which will be Elvasco Unai Basurko with its "Pottoka"; category with many large ships and with very high quality... by the Navy the "Villa de Marín" a Hanse 470 with Fernando Cominges of pattern. The winner of the Finisterre, "Fresgarrido" by José Angel Quintero will be the second largest ship in length with its 56 feet... because this lead is taken away by the 60 feet "Quimera" of the Vigo Nautico.
"Txole" by Ignacio Sánchez Otaegui the Dehler of Mount Real Club of Yates is also one of the ones to send on this table, as is the X-412 "Berlinguiño" by Andrés Campos or the "Salseiro" by Manolo Blanco of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña, a beautiful Dehler 44. On the part of Lusitana in "open" highlight the DuFouir 425 "Maximvs" by Jorge Leite of the Naval Clube Povoense.
They complete the extensive list of participants, the so-called "sport boats," listed in which they will compete prestigious patterns such as Willy Alonso, Alejandro Pérez Canal, Cristina González, or the Portuguese Pedro Barbosa and Vasco Pizarro.
So I begin from the Regata Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas, with an exciting stage between Vigo and Sanxenxo, and the illusion of this new stage, which gives it much youth, to which is the dean of the cruising races of the northwest, and one of the oldest in all of Spain.
