The bet of the Rías Baixas for the legendary villa pontevedresa of Poio and its excellent sports marina, comes from 2010, when Rolando Andrade offered this possibility to the organization of the Rías Baixas of that year, and Seoane, after a fruitful meeting he bet that Marina Comarto was a seat of the race.

Combarro-Poio joins Mar de Maeloc, in the joint program of the three races that make it (Rías Altas, Finisterre and Rías Baixas), to the ports of Cedeira, Sada, La Coruña, Malpica, A Pobra do Caramiñal, Sanxenxo, Vigo and Baiona... so the river of Pontevedra will have two ports-headquarters.

The Regata Mar de Maeloc Rías Baixas will leave on Wednesday, August 14, for the emblematic Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo from the majestic Ría de Vigo; from there is the second stage to the Ria de Arousa, to the beautiful A Pobra... the third act culminates in another marine villa such as Commud, in the historic villa of Poio in the heart of Pontevedra... and as the end the final jump back to the viguesa on August 17.

In competition there will be more than 70 ships from cruise, and even the possibility of reaching the "maximum 2019" that is set in the 80, with 700 crew on board; the participation of units from the Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias, Galicia and Portugal is confirmed.

It should be noted that among the last recorded inscriptions, there is that of the Rebound to the World Unai Basurko, which will patronize one of the six Vizcaños and Donostiars that will be in competition in the Sea of Maeloc Rías Baixas.
