Marina Commud will expand the hikes to maintain its leadership in the Rías Baixas

Marina Commud is integrated into major international seaports networks, such as TransEurope Marinas or Passeport Escales, which facilitates the exchange of ships and increasingly attracts international users to the port
Marina Commud, an international reference point for the docking and leisure in the Rías Baixas, wants to continue to grow within excellence and that is why it will undertake the expansion of the number of mooring places, from the current 334, for ships from 6 to 24 meters in length, to the 368 planned for 2020.
It will also be an increase in supply not only quantitative but also qualitative, as the new facilities, which can already be reserved, will be used for vessels up to 26 metres long.
The privileged location of the port of Commud in the heart of the Rías Baixas, surrounded by extraordinary beaches and very close to the Atlantic Islands National Park, is one of the factors that explains the growth of this nautical enclave, which has an occupation of 85% in winter and 100% in summer season.
The enlargement project, which is driven by the incorporation of new investors into the Combarromar, is born with the idea of excellence that this navy previews, which is already a reference for local and foreign sailors. Thus, of the thousands of ships that visit the year Marina Commud, half are from outside Spain (10% French, 10% English, 10% Irish, 5% German and 5% Swedish, among others including American and Australian vessels.)
The motivation remains to go one step beyond the rest of the marines and turn Commud into a complete nautical base, taking care of all facets facing the public. In fact, it is already the first in Spain to be awarded the 5 Gold Anchors, the highest distinction to the quality granted by the British Association of Sports Ports (British Yacht Harbour Association), and with the award to "Excellence in the Design of Seas" delivered in 2012 by the International Harbour Association, PIANC.
The success in the attraction of ships in transit, the quality of the facilities, the excellent attention to the users and the attractiveness for the navigation of the Rías Baixas have resulted in a significant part of the ships that they emphasize for a few days in Commud end up making the marine their permanent base. A fidealization that means that in the last five years up to 15% of the total of ships with permanent headquarters in their facilities are foreign.
The new raids that are part of the enlargement project are aimed at medium and large-length vessels, that is, 16 to 26 metres, for which there is a higher unmet demand in Galicia, estimated to serve 50% of local and foreign vessels. Marina Commud offers the nautical lifestyle led to its maximum expression, held by three great pillars... on the one hand, the location and beauty of Commud, an example of popular architecture that is considered one of the best preserved villages of Galicia... with a unique urban grouping, declared in 1972 as a Set of Artistic Interest and Pintoreque due to its exceptional, Commud has a special charm for any visitor. On the other hand, the services for navigators and visitors, with local catering and leisure care, whose offer will also be increased shortly, as well as parking and a whole series of nautical activities such as courses, schools, sailing competitions and equipment of regatists, vehicles through the Royacht Club... and, last but not least, the services to the ships with quality attractions and the possibility of 'winter', maintenance and repairs in the port and dry marine.
