The Transpac was only cancelled between 1942 and 1946 when it coincided with World War II.

On Saturday, the Trimaran Maserati MOD 70, took the exit together with 90 in the 50 edition of the Transpac regatta with exit in Los Angeles and line of Arrival in Honolulu (Hawaii)... ahead of 2,225 miles across the Pacific Ocean... the Maserati competes against 5 multicascos, three of them of its same type MOD 70, two catamarans and a trimaran of 63 pines of length.

Departure from California waters, with a Maserati left out of the head on the first part of the journey, by choosing the "bad" option... at 4.30 hours UTC Monday, the Maserati impacts with an unidentified floating object, which causes serious damage to the port band, taking part of the bow, the drifting orza and part of the rudder.

After more than an hour of standing the Maserati changes the drifting orza to a new one and decides to continue in a race, but not at full speed waiting for the dawn and to be able to evaluate the damage more carefully. Giovani Soldini's master of the Maserati MOD 70 and all his crew decide to continue in race.

For almost all of Monday the ship has to sail almost 14 hours, mapped to starboard in very harsh conditions as because it does not have the fire, the ship gives very strong taps and the speed has to be reduced to take care of the structure.

In the middle of the morning today, the Maserati manages to turn and navigate milled to port, where the rudder if it keeps the fire and sails at full speed planning... however in the part of the 3HST positions today, the Maserati MOS 70 had completed a 520-mile singlature in 24 hours, which is not bad at all given the conditions in which they are sailing.

The first is the Argos 967 miles from the arrival, the second the Power Play 1026 and the third the Maserati 1118 miles from Honolulu.
