Quantum Racing of the shipowner Doug DeVos was proclaimed, winner of the Cascais 52 Super Series Sailing Week. The American ship was a leader throughout the week of the regatta plaintiff, but the Azzurra was committed to making it difficult until the last second... in the end, Azzurra lost the victory for only two seconds that were the ones that took him out at the finish of the Platoon that has been the team that has laid the third place of the final podium in Cascis, although tied to points with the Bronenosec of Vladimir Liubomirov.

Quantum, led in the water by Ed Baird and supported by Cameron Appleton and Joan Vila in the rear, won the race and Azzurra is placed as leader of the 52 Super Series circuit... the two great teams come out with a wide smile from Cascais because the Argentines are already leaders of the circuit that is their great goal of the season, while Quantum has recovered sensations and many points after a season start in Mahon and Puerto Sherry somewhat poor for them.

19 / 07 / 2019: Surprise in Cascais... the TP52 "Alegre" wins its first trial, after a strange day

El viento juega una mala pasada a las TP 52 Super Series en Cascáis

The wind plays a bad pass to the TP 52 Super Series in Cascais

"Alegre" by Andrés Soriano, was the winner of the only manga played today at the Cascais 52 Super Series Sailing Week... the Portuguese town's race field did not offer its best face and prevented the two-test program from being completed.

"Quantum Racing" by shipowner Doug DeVos follows as the leader of the competition with five points of advantage over the "Azzurra" of Alberto and Pablo Roemmers... who will play the victory in the race in the last two trials.

The third place of the final podium will be played by "Platoon," "Bronenosec" and "Phoenix," three TP52 separated by only one point. So are things in Cascais in the absence of a day:

1. Quantum Racing (USA) (Doug DeVos) (2,1,2,2,1,4.3,) 15 points.

18 / 07 / 2019: Two first, three seconds and a quarter the credentials of the TP52 "Quantum" in Cascais

El equipo sudafricano consigue su primera victoria en las TP52

South African team wins first in TP52

Hasso Plattner today won his first win in a sleeve in the 52 Super Series... the shipowner of the South African team will not forget on July 18 when in Cascais, with more than twenty knots of roll wind and with intense wells, he was able to bring his "Phoenix 11" to triumph. He has a lot of merit for what the German did because winning a manga with these wind conditions is nothing simple and is usually reserved for professional regatists. For his part the leader "Quantum Racing," continues to accumulate advantage and already has 6 points of difference over the "Azurra" on a day in which the Americans achieved 1-4 and the italoArgentines 6-2... except for its name in Cascais must impose the TP52 of Doug De Vos... so are the general:

1. Quantum Racing (USA) (Doug DeVos) (2,1,2,2,1,4) 12 points.
2. Azzurra (ARG / ITA) (Alberto / Pablo Roemmers) (3,3,3,3,6,2) 18 p.
3. Bronenosec (RUS) (Vladimir Liubomirov) (4,2,4,7,3,3) 23 p.
4. Platoon (GER) (Harm Müller-Spreer) (5,4,3,1,7,5) 25 p.
5. Phoenix 11 (RSA) (Hasso Plattner) (6,6,5,4,5.1) 27 p.
6. Provides (TUR) (Ergin Imre) (1,5,7,5,2,7) 27 points.
7. Alegre (USA / GBR) (Andrés Soriano) (7,7,6,6,4,6) 36 p.

17 / 07 / 2019: "Quantum" holds the leadership of the TP52 in Cascais... and "Azzurra" that tightens, is already second

El TP52 norteamericano mantiene el liderato en Cascáis tras las victorias del barco argentino y del alemán

The American TP52 maintains leadership in Cascais following the victories of the Argentine and German ship

Quantum leads the Cascais 52 Super Series Sailing Week after the second day of competition. The American ship is showing an impressive strength in the Portuguese race as in the four contested sleeves it has not fallen from the second place. With this consistency only the Azzurra and the Platoon are holding the pull of the current champions of the competition as today the Procurzza has had a bad day and has signed a seventh and a fifth that have taken him away from the positions of privilege. Neither has the Bronenosec been fine. Cascais has again shown that it is a special and exceptional place to navigate.

Ed Baird and Guillermo Parada a la cane del Quantum y Azzurra are setting the pace in Cascais. They're the only two 'drivers' who know what it's like to win here in Cascais and they're showing it. Quantum with impressive strength and Azzurra with a very high ability for recovery. The Argentines have been able to get out of very committed situations as in the first and fourth manga in which they became last and thanks to their work they recovered to third place.

And that's what happened on the fourth sleeve of the day. Azzurra went wrong on the right and remained at the bottom of the fleet in the first close. Phoenix left again, taking advantage of the wind in that area, and from there they dominated the rise as leaders in the barlovent beacon. They increased their rent in the stern and kept it in the last corner, but the harassment of the 'wolves': Platoon, Quantum and Azzurra and a streak on the side of the field where they were not forced to fall in the last meters to the fourth square when they were already caressing victory. Azzurra passed the first beacon. At the door he had overcome Bronenosec and at the second close he passed to the Alegre and the Protenzza. It was fourth and had recovered much of what was lost, but its desire led them to reach third position in an exciting ending with the Phoenix and pushed by the devastating streak for the South African sailboat of Hasso Plattner.

In the first manga of the day it was the Quantum who asked the Regatas Committee for a five-minute delay to solve mechanical problems on the ship. The exit was dominated by the center of the fleet by the Quantum and the Azzurra was very clear that he wanted the right side of the field and came out with some delay, but in the place they thought he was going to be favored. And the crew members of the Roemmers family's ship were not wrong. The right-hand side paid its income in the first row and the blue sailboat reached a certain advantage to the buoy where others had to fight for the beacon.

From there Azzurra no longer had to stretch his rent by sailing on very clean lines and showing that they are one of the most experienced crews of the fleet. The others were changing positions and for example the Phoenix made a spectacular first stern moving from sixth to second and these are the things that Cascais allows and its wonderful field of races. Sometimes the bets are quickly charged and that's what got the ship from the shipowner Hasso Plattner. He also improved the Platoon while the Protenzza had a sleeve to forget with a seventh place. The classification is as follows:

1. Quantum Racing (USA) (Doug DeVos) (2,1,2,2) 7 points.
2. Azzurra (ARG / ITA) (Alberto / Pablo Roemmers) (3,3,1,3) 10 p.
3. Platoon (GER) (Harm Müller-Spreer) (5,4,3.1) 13 p.
4. Bronenosec (RUS) (Vladimir Liubomirov) (4,2,4,7) 17 p.
5. Provides (TUR) (Ergin Imre) (1,5,7,5) 18 points.
6. Phoenix 11 (RSA) (Hasso Plattner) (6,6,5,4) 21 p.
7. Alegre (USA / GBR) (Andrés Soriano) (7,7,6,6) 26 p.

Quantum Racing of the American shipowner Doug DeVos and patrolling in Cascais by Ed Baird today overcame the bad sensations left behind by the last race of 52 Super Series, which was held almost a month ago in Puerto Sherry.

In the opening day, the Americans achieved a second and a first that left them leaders, with three points of difference over the trio formed by the Providenza, Bronenosec and Azzurra. This is the classification in Cascais after two sleeves

1. Quantum Racing (USA) (Doug DeVos) (2.1) 3 points.
2. Provides (TUR) (Ergin Imre) (1.5) 6 points.
3. Bronenosec (RUS) (Vladimir Liubomirov) (4.2) 6 p.
4. Azzurra (ARG / ITA) (Alberto / Pablo Roemmers) (3.3) 6 p.
5. Platoon (GER) (Harm Müller-Spreer) (5.4) 9 p.
6. Phoenix 11 (RSA) (Hasso Plattner) (6.6) 12 p.
7. Alegre (USA / GBR) (Andrés Soriano) (7.7) 14 p.
