Free young pear course on preparation, restoration and protection (painting) of superyacht surfaces

The Youth Guarantee Programme of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Varador 2000 ship repair and maintenance yard organize a course on preparation, restoration and protection (painting) of superyacht surfaces. The course, aimed at young people between the ages of 16 and 29, will take place next September in the technical area of Varador 2000 of Arenys de Mar.

The purpose of the course is to provide basic training on preparation, restoration and protection (painting) of dead-work surfaces, superyacht superstructures and tree and to train qualified staff as maintenance assistant for this type of element. To register for the course you must be registered as a participant in the Youth Guarantee program of the Chamber of Commerce, be between 16 and 29 years old and have not worked or studied on the calendar day prior to the date of the course. If there are any interested persons who are not registered in the Youth Guarantee Programme of the Chamber of Commerce, they may participate in the project after registration.

The course will take place between 12 September and 18 October in 8-hour daily sessions from Monday to Friday. All participants in this course will be able to learn, inter alia, to make work on the preparation of dead work surfaces, cover, superstructures and tree of superyacht vessels; to carry out auxiliary operations for the preparation of products (paints, prints, chairs, etc.) by ensuring their homogeneity, or to carry out auxiliary operations in the processes of protecting superyacht surfaces, applying products with a gun, brush or roller, following established instructions and procedures.

The course, which is free for all participants, is a unique opportunity for all young people who do not have a job, or want to improve or reorient their professional future.
