The Lazy Dog, a Grand Soleil 46 of the El Masnou Nautical Club sponsored by the Danish Jesper Larsen, has finally been made with the victory of the High Regatta Circuit. After the first two contested tests, the Bay of Pollença Regata and the Sitges-Ciutadella, the Tramuntana Route closed this weekend the High Regatta Circuit which in this edition distributed numerous cash prizes.

With the second position obtained in Pollença and his victory in Ciutadella the Lazy Dog left as a favorite on the Tramuntana Route to mark his victory in the Circuit given the three points of difference he had over his immediate pursuit, the Korrigan, X46 by Joan Balaguer, with two third parties in the previous tests.

On the Tramuntana Road this weekend, and with the fleet launched with winds from the south towards the Medas Islands at some point it seemed that the Korrigan could turn the classification around as it was in front of the Lazy Dog and had managed to place some ships between him and the leader.

However everything changed in the slow approach to the line of arrival on the Scale under the influence of the encalmed. The Lazy Dog overtook the Korrigan who was about to lose the second place in the drawer due to the great result obtained by the Belgians of the Diabolic, a Sun Fast 35 patrolled by Glenn De Brouwer who would finally get the third place of the podium in the Circuit.

The fourth has been the Nirvana III, Hanse 470 of José Martín Santiago, of the Vilanova Nautical Club, just one point from the third and two from the fifth, the Trago, Jeanneau Sunrise of Daniel Coronel, which closed the Circuit with a 5-square meritorious in the general of the Tramuntana Route.

The Ausmar Trophy and the High Regatta Circuit awards will be delivered at the next International Nautical Hall in Barcelona.
