From tomorrow, the Laser Standard World Championship will start the final phase with the fleet divided into gold, silver and bronze groups. Joaquín Blanco and Joel Rodríguez will compete with the 52 best athletes in the gold group and their main objective will be to keep alive the options of classifying the country for the next Olympic Games... for their part, the Valencian Jesús Rogel (RCN Torrevieja) did not get the pass to the gold group and from tomorrow he will sail in the bronze group.
The competition, which is taking place in Sakaiminato, Japan, began last Thursday, July 4 and will end next Tuesday... in addition to the title of world champion, in this race five new country squares will be distributed to participate in Tokyo 2020 and for the moment Spain is in the position to get the classification for the next Olympic Games.
