Recreational boat enrollments grow 6 points in the first half of the year

The rental of recreational boats is growing again in June (9.73%) The nautical market has recorded 3,489 registration of recreational craft between January and June 2019, 203 more than in the same period last year. It highlights the growth of the registration of sailboats that is increased by 40.5% in this period, growth that has been taking place for a few months and is consolidated as a trend. Balearic Islands continues to head the nautical market and also leads the nautical charter market.

In the nautical charter market, the Valencia Community has one of the best market share figures in recent years, with a strong increase in the 3 provinces.

The market for recreational craft continues to grow and in the middle of the nautical season there is a 6% increase in enrolment. In Spain, 3,489 recreational boats have been registered between January and June, compared with 3,286 in the same period in 2018.

Of the total number of vessels registered in the first six months of the year, 1,050 are intended for nautical charter (rent). This market, although falling by -1.87% in the accumulated year, reduces the fall of the previous period, thanks to the date of May and June, in which the rental of recreational boats has grown by 9.73% compared to the same month of 2018.
