The Trans-Mediterranean Arms Group is launching a new state-of-the-art ferry that will strengthen Operation Step of the Strait (OPE) this summer. In particular, it will perform the lines Motril - Al-Hoceima and Motril - Nador. Thus, the first departure from Motril was this morning to the port of Al Hoceima and tomorrow he will travel to Nador. It plans to operate three days a week with Al-Hoceima (Monday, Tuesday and Friday) and four days with Nador (Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday), making up to a maximum of two daily rotations on the most demanding days.

The Villa de Teror is the most modern ferry in Europe in its category. Since July 3, it is located in the port of Motril from Vigo, where it has been built. Its name pays tribute to the Marian villa of Teror, where the basilica of Our Lady of the Pino, patron of Gran Canaria, is located. Its incorporation represents a new milestone in the programme of modernization and renewal of the fleet of the first shipping group of Spain.

The ship is equipped with the most avant-garde design and the latest technological advances in the sector.... its construction in the Vulcan factory vineyard. Of 15,875 gross and 2,350 dead-weight tons, it is 138.12 meters long and 22 meters long. It has nine decks and has capacity for 1,505 passengers, 450 vehicles or 600 linear meters of rolling load plus 130 cars. It is powered by two Wärtsila engines that add a power of 27,210 horses on two axes and equal number of variable-pass propellers, which allows you to maintain a speed of 22 knots.
