In the seventh square goes the "Green April" of the Galician Luis Pérez Canal. The Santanderino Pichu Torcida with the "Noticia" ended the day in tenth position, but because of Claudia Rossi's protest he was disqualified and passed to the 34th. In the tenth place is Luis Bugallo in command of the "Mar Natura" after having won several sleeves of the qualifying races. After two days of competition and six qualifying races, five Spanish teams managed to move to the final phase and will compete against the best teams in Europe in J70. "Mar Natura" by Luis Bugallo, "G75" by Gustavo Martinez Doreste, "Noticia" by Pichu Torcida, "Abril Verde" by Pérez Canal and "Lumar Canarias" by Luis Martínez Doreste will sail in the gold group.
In Lago di Garda, Italy, the International Class European Championship J70, organized by the Fraglia Vela Malcesine Club, is being awarded this week. There are a total of more than 130 registered teams coming from, in addition to the major European countries, and from outside the continent such as the United States, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Turkey, Russia... adding a total of 21 different nationalities.
The first two days of competition were devoted to 6 qualifying races, which allowed to make an initial survey of 50% of the fleet, being divided into two groups (gold and silver). The canaries have been regular and have managed to qualify in the gold group. And from that Friday the final races begin that will serve to elect the next J70 European champion.
Among the favorites are Italian, Spanish and German teams.
