On the weekend of the year, the 15th edition of the Motonautico Rally has been held in the ideal conditions for the competition.

The output was timed, setting a minute between each participant... the conditions were unbeatable to achieve maximum speeds, which allowed the first competitor to cross the goal in Cape Pinar to cover the 32 nautical miles of the first stage in 38 minutes and 31 seconds, which represents an average speed of more than 50 knots (90 km / h).

Who set this record time was Maria Femenías of the Yamaha RG team, who rose with the victory in this first stage, imposing their knowledge of the Bay of Pollença from which it is native. On the other hand, the semi-rigid ships were also able to mark good runs, with averages above 37 knots, which recorded both the Zar65 with a Suzuki 225 and the Highfield 660 with the Honda 150.

The second stage was a link from the Bay of Pollença to the Port of Sóller, with excellent conditions to enjoy the imposing beauty of the north coast. After a launch with the entire fleet, Abel Andujar presented himself at the Dragonera's goal in the first position, going around 21 miles in 25 minutes and 26 seconds.

The morning stage of Sunday had 38 nautical miles of link from Andraxt, to the beach d'Es Cargol, with technical stop at the Nautical Club of the Rapita... Miguel Ávila, with his Yamaha VSHO imposed his law and was the first to reach the goal.

With this victory, a quarter in the first stage and a second in the third stage, Miguel Ávila tied to points in the second position with Maria Femenías, who had made a first, and two third, but who would finally rise with the second square of the general after applying the total time spent on the 3 punctuable tests to undo the tie. The final victory in the general of motorcycles was Abel Andujar of the Mirablau team, who with his regularity (two seconds and one first), went up to the top of the podium.

The Zar650 with Suzuki 200, patronized by Ricardo Masabeu once again imposed its law in the "bravo" category for half-rigid up to 300 horses, which had as second classified the team of Nática Vermell with a Lomac GT8.50 motorized with Yamaha 300. For its part, the Highfield team that first participated in the test, rose with the victory in the "alpha" category reserved for engines of up to 150 horses, thanks to Patrol 660 with Honda BF 150 piloted by Nicolás Zapata.

Great atmosphere before this turn to Mallorca with exit and end in Porto Cristo

Tomorrow Saturday will be the starting pistolet to the fifteenth edition of the Motonautico Rally Return to Mallorca... an emblematic test among the lovers of the nautical speed open to the participation of semi-rigid ships with any type of motorization and of water motorcycles of the Yamaha brand, which together with Repsol, are the main collaborating companies of the event organized by the Skipper Nautical Club and Nautical Dissemination along with the Balear Federation of Motonautics.

With the departure and arrival in Porto Cristo, the test reverses the 145 nautical miles of the island of Mallorca. The route is divided into 5 stages, 3 speed and 2 link. In particular, on Saturday, after the departure from the Nàutic Porto Cristo Club, the participants will travel the 32 nautical miles that separate them from Cabo Pinar, in the first stage of speed of the day. The second will be a link, to enjoy the beauty of the northern coast of Mallorca, and will end in Port de Sóller, where Marina de Tramuntana will welcome the participants.

The third stage, from Port de Sóller to the Illa Mitjana of Sant Elm, with a distance of 21 miles, will again test the speed of the participants. Thanks to the reception of the Club de Vela Port d'Andraxt, the fleet will spend the night in this town, to return to the following day. Thus, on Sunday, the first stage from Andraxt to Playa d'Es Cargol, with technical stop at the Nàutic Club of Sa Ràpita, will be a link, while the final stage d'Es Cargol to Porto Cristo, 23 nautical miles will serve to define the final classifications.

There are a total of 18 registered vessels. 8 semi-rigid and 10 bikes of water. Ricardo Masabeu, world champion of motoronautics in Endurance class, is again a favorite, leading once again the ZAR-Suzuki semi-rigid squadron, while Nicolás Zapata comes to make things difficult with the high-end aluminium semi-rigid, motorized with Honda. In the category of motorcycles, the competition in this edition is more open due to the absence of Christian Marquez and French Medhy Menad, test dominators in recent years and that by professional commitments they will not be able to perform all the tests.
