New World Cup event on the London Lee Valley channel

The first of the five headquarters of the 2019 World Cup of Piragüismo in the slalon mode ended on the channel of Lee Valley in London with the presence of the Spanish David Llorente in the final of K1 in which it ended in sixth place and Klara Olazabal, ninth in C1.

The Spanish-Leoness David Llorente at the end of K1 achieved the sixth place after accumulating four seconds of penalty for violations at doors 17 and 20, which total a time of 95.39 seconds.
The Basque Klara Olazabal was ninth at the end of C1, where he achieved six points of penalty for touches at doors 13, 23 and 24, with a time of 127,74.

Olympic champion Maialen Chourraut won fifth place in the K1 final on the same channel where she won the bronze medal in 2012, four years later she won the gold medal in Rio.
