The Monte Real Club de Yates de Baiona has just signed Roy Alonso as its new sports director... with a wide range of bags in the sailing world, will bring his experience as coach and head of national and Olympic teams to give new air to the School of Sailing of Monte Real, in which hundreds of students spend each year in its different modes of light sailing, cruise and adapted.

The implementation of a new strategic plan for the school and the promotion of sports events at the national and international levels are some of the objectives of this 44-year-old vineyard, which takes on the highest responsibility for the sports structure of Monte Real as a challenge to face with great illusion and desire.

He has been technical director of the Royal Galician Vela Federation and the Royal Spanish Vela Federation, pre-Olympic class coach, president of the RFEV's Committee of Light Vela, coach and head of the national pre-Olympic team of Laser Radio, technical manager of the Spanish youth and coordinator of the Santander's Specialized High Performance Centre. In Miami, he also achieved the classification of Spain for the 2012 London Olympic Games in the Women's Match Race with Támara Echegoyen, Sofía Toro and Angela Pumayega.
