The 31st Ifach Peñón Trophy puts the closure and does so with a second test marked by the low wind, almost zero from the beginning, although at the exit in Marina Formentera the fleet promised them very happy, as a wind of 095 ° (Este-E) with 7-8 knots pointed out they would have a good journey, but...
Very slow and staggered has been the arrival in Calpe. This little wind has been reflected in the arrival of the first one at the Calpine club, the Melillense City of Mellla (RCM Melilla), whose entrance took place at 2.42.40 a.m. on Sunday 2 June, investing 16,37.40 hours in the 63 miles of tour.
After him and with 17 minutes of difference the arrival took the Alzira-Moraira (CN Moraira), almost at 4 in the morning the Guaguanco II (CN Altea) entered and so on were arrived the ships that remained in regatta as that glow led to many abandoned. In ORC4 only three ships have completed the test, five in ORC3, seven in ORC2 and four in ORC1, out of a total of 57 ships that took the exit in Formentera.
With the results of this second test, plus those obtained in the first, the podium of the 31st Peñón de Ifach Trophy, high race organized by the RCN of Calpe is closed with Ithaca IX (RCN Calpe), 1-3, as winner in ORC1, followed by Alzira Moraira (CN Moraira), 6-1 and Jeffertje II (RCN Calpe), 5-4.

The Alzira- Moraira was the first to take the line of arrival at 19 hours... in the provisional absolute general the santapolero Despelote leads the classification
The weather forecasts gave a turn in the equator of the first test of the 31st Peñón Trophy of Ifach, when the fleet had already exceeded half the route. The first ship in Formentera was expected around 22 hours, as the wind remained low. An unexpected change and a current in favor of the ships led the last miles to the island to be very fast, so much so that the 'big', Alzira-Moraira (CN Moraira) arrived to the port of Marina Formentera at 6.59: 57 hours with about 9 hours invested in completing the 64 miles of tour.
After him Swan 75 took the arrival another of the favorites, the Alicantino Spaniard (RCR Alicante), which did so at 19.06: 29, with just over 7 minutes over the Alzira- Moraira. The fleet was very long behind as the third to arrive at Marina de Formentera was the Ithaca IX (RCN Calpe) at 19.23: 50. The last boat to reach the island was the Oceanus, closing the crone in 22.54: 29 hours, investing 12 hours and 49 minutes to complete the tour between Calpe and Formentera.
After obtaining the offset times in ORC 1 the podium is closed with Itaca IX (RCN Calpe), followed by Spaniard (RCR Alicante) and Limbo II (CN Altea). As for the ORC 2 fleet, the three podium squares are for Cafés Granell (RCN Valencia), Alegre Vivace (CN Santa Pola) and Kalamandurrio (CN Altea). In ORC 3 the first three have been Guaguanco III (CN Altea), Chrono (CN Campomanes) and Aleph IV (CN Villajoyosa). It closes the classification of the class ORC 4 with the podium triplet formed by Despelote (CN Santa Pola), Isabella (RCN Calpe) and Archimedes (CN Altea).
With regard to the prestigious Trophy Salvador Mir, which includes the absolute general classification of all classes, after closing the first and in the absence of the second, between Formentera and Calpe, the santapolero Despelote occupies the first position followed by Guaguanco II and the Valencian Cafés Granell.

The 58 ships that have finally been gathered in the 31st Peñón Trophy of Ifach have set out to the island of Formentera, thus completing the first of the two tests provided for in the regataorganized by the RCN of Calpe. On the front about 60 nautical miles that are anticipated somewhat complicated by the wind conditions, although it points the part to an improvement already on the evening-Thursday night and in the vicinity of Formentera.
At 10 a.m. it was possible to leave with a low wind of 5-6 knots on a axis of the 235th (Southwest SW) and a beacon of dismantling in the vicinity of the Morro de Toix. A very grouped exit by the committee ship and navigating the bulk of the fleet quite ground-bound.
The 'big' have taken the front positions being Spaniard the first to take the beacon, followed by Ithaca IX, Melilla City, Foxy Lady, Kalamandurri and Spampi. After them the rest of the fleet has been passed that after "spi 'has been stretched a lot with the proas pointing to Marina Formentera.
The wind has not been the best ally of the fleet, at least until it meets half of the route remaining in direction and intensity, at some point the wind has fallen to 3-4 knots, but after 7 hours of regatta it has been remaintained between 5 and 7 knots.
If these conditions are maintained, the first ships may arrive between 22 and 24 hours. At this time and with about 8 hours of regatta the pliers Spaniard (RCR Alicante) leads the fleet, although it has very close to the Swan 75 Alzira-Moraira (CN Moraira) and Itaca IX (RCN Calpe).
The group sails very stretched and after the three ships of head has formed another group formed by three other ships that sail together: Melilla City, Limbo III and Volaverunt. It should be noted that Madragora was removed by a break of the Major when he was in the equator of the test, returning to the nautical of Calpe.
