30 / 05 / 2019: The Goyard brothers command in the World Windsurfing GP Catalunya-Costa Brava

The new discipline of the world circuit shows in Sant Pere Pescador that allows to navigate in almost all wind conditions
Three out of three. The wind-fire, the new and spectacular windsurfing mode in which windsurfers sail a meter above the sea, as if they were flying, came with the aim that they could compete with almost all kinds, direction and intensity of wind. And, at the World Windsurf Championship Catalonia - Costa Brava, it is being demonstrated that it is possible.
On this third day of race, and after the tramontana with raffas above the 35 knots of the previous day, the north wind has disappeared and the south wind has been imposed, with an average of 8 to 10 knots.
The French windsurfer Thomas Goyard (FRA-03) has become the protagonist of the third elimination, which has won after a nice and tight duel with his brother Nicolás Goyard (FRA-465), who has fallen in the final and has only been able to be third. Between the two, Dutch Kiran Badloe has won the second square.
After the first three days of competition on the beach of the Cortal de la Devesa de Sant Pere Pescador is revealed the wind-fire has brought to the windsurfing a new generation of windsurfers and it is very difficult to make bets on who are the favorites.
In three days there have been three different winners: Julien Bontemps (FRA-6), Tristan Algret (GPE-44), from the islands of Guadalupe and Thomas Goyard (FRA-03).
At the moment, the Goyard brothers, who arrived on the Costa Brava as the third (Nicholas) and sixth (Thomas), lead the provisional classification of the Catalan test, although in reverse order, first Thomas and second Nicolas.
The test of the Costa Brava is the fifth of the world circuit of the PWA 2019, but only the second in the discipline of male wind-foil, after a first stop in the Namibian city of Yokosuka, where the French windsurfer Pierre Mortefon was proclaimed winner.
29 / 05 / 2019: The best windsurfers in the world "fly" in the GP of Catalunya-Costa Brava

The French and Olympic medalist Julien Bontemps (FRA-6) and Tristan Algret
(GPE-44), from the islands of Guadalupe, the first two eliminations are awarded
The tramontana, the cold, cold north wind characteristic of the north-east of the Peninsula has been the great protagonist of the first two days of the World Windsurf Championship Catalonia - Costa Brava, which, this year and as a novelty, is entirely disputed in the spectacular mode of wind-fire, until Sunday, June 2.
With wind rapes above 35 knots, the tramontana that has blown on the beach of the Cortal de la Devesa de Sant Pere Pescador has tested the technique and strength of the 55 best windsurfers in the world of wind-fire that participate in the Catalan test, punctuable for the world circuit.
Those who have been able to take better advantage of the conditions in the first two contested expulsions - one on Tuesday and the other today - have been the French windsurfer Julien Bontemps (FRA-6) and Tristan Algret (GPE-44) of the islands of Guadalupe. Bontemps, who last year managed to be third in Catalan waters, imposed in the first phase-out ahead of the Thomas Goyard brothers (FRA-03) and Nicolas Goyard (FRA-465).
Today the windsurfers have literally "flown" over the water and the victory has been for Tristan Algret (GPE-44), in one of the best eliminations he has ever played in Wind-fire. The second provisional square has been for the multicampeon of the slalom world, the French Antoine Albeau (F-152) and the third the Italian Matteo Iachino (ITA-140).
The best provisional classification among the Spanish windsurfers participating in this race has been for Catalan Ramon Pastor (E-72), who has managed to reach one of the finals, that of today.
The test of the Costa Brava is the fifth of the world circuit of the PWA 2019, but only the second in the discipline of male wind-foil, after a first stop in Yokosuka (Japan), where the French windsurfer Pierre Mortefon was proclaimed winner.
