PROFESSIONAL, SPECIALITY CERTIFICATE AND VOCATIONAL TARGET
The Professional Certificates and Professional Cards have the power to engage in a profession on merchant ships, while the Speciality Certificates provide training to deal with emergency situations, as well as knowledge on work safety, medical care, survival at sea, and specific training for passenger and tank ships.
The title of Captain de Yate expressly authorizes the government of motor recreational boats up to 24 meters long, which allows for navigation without geographical limits.

TheNautical Recreation QualificationsThey are able to govern recreational vessels that have no commercial purpose. These titles can be issued by the General Directorate of the Merchant Navy or by the Autonomous Communities that have assumed this competition (Basque Country, Cantabria, Asturias, Galicia, Andalusia, Murcia, Valencia, Catalonia, Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Melilla and Ceuta).
